I will call you protectionist (which also means foolish, but we prefer to use the more polite expression)
because they dont deserve a hide rating.
I notice that you have gone from making bold predictions (that was a few weeks back) of an Obama victory to saying that Obama will "probably" win.
In that light, isn't it somewhat premature to be writing political obituaries for Sen McCain, while praising the man.
But if I decided that I could not support him, then I would do exactly what you have done ~ go somewhere else instead of being destructive here!!
Be well...I enjoyed reading your diaries (even if I didnt rec them all =)
well it seems that you know which way I am voting better than I do.
you must know a lot of things...
where politics transcends race, age, gender, and all kinds of divisions.. for the express purpose of titillating us with Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and news of Sen. McCains many mansions and Sen. Obama's vacations !!
and as the nominee, he is entitled to vet (and to not vet) anyone he chooses.
We, on the other hand, are the voters.
And as the voters, we are entitled to be spared this circus like atmosphere where the two nominees are going to unveil their running mates!!
Well, I have fond memories of VT, even though my offices were very close to Norris.
My friends wife was teaching down the hall.. and his daughter was taking a class downstairs. Undestandably, they were quite upset... but they still love the place!
Every time I hear McSame, or McBush... or 100 year of war, it makes me want to go out and vote for McCain.
And as to your arguments, you might be interested in what Paul Krugman has to say about all that.
Actually, you made a number of claims. I am aware of McCain's voting record. But in addition to that, you made several other claims.
Can you cite, for instance, any evidence supporting your claim that McBush (or even Bush) is the reason for the economic downturn.
I almost went to CMU... but I was told that Pittsburg is a very cold place, and that scared me at the time.
I went to Virginia Tech and Caltech (where the Men's basketball team finally won a game in 2007)!
And as to your "low info" status... it goes to show how well stereotyping works... I had you pegged as a highly educated voter ~ because you seemed to write intelligent, thoughtful posts!
Now that I know you are a low information voter, I will be sure to hiderate your comments to oblivion =)
well, pardon my insolence.
I shoulda thanked you first...for stickout out for me, instead of correcting you!!
I guess being called a troll (which I expected when I posted this) does affect one's decisionmaking...
Did you go to CMU, by any chance ?
I am asking only because I remember your diary about Randy Pausch... of course you could have gone anywhere and still diaried about it!
it was physical chemistry, actually !!
Your argument is more likely to be palatable to the public than the current line of attack....
