It's perfect. It's based on a truth, so it will stick.
It's reinforced every time McCain is forced to angrily deny it. It takes a strength and makes it into a weakness. It dovetails nicely into Obama's own strength in judgement. It hints at McCain's age without being overt. And it easily ties into the 'cowboy' mentality of Bush, thereby tying McCain back into Bush.
Exactly. You have to hit him from other angles, groups or people that can really get down in the mud, and let Obama disavow the attacks - but the important thing is to get those McCain issues out there in the public mind.
It's a good start, but I want to see Obama hit McCain with ad after ad, really hitting him hard, and often, constantly attacking McCain on his policies, his flip-flopping, his closeness to Bush, his vast weaknesses. I really want an aggressive response to the smear the GOP is throwing. It would be best for the 527s to hit his character, with personal attacks, that Obama cannot make (or even condone). Fire with fire.
"It makes zero sense for us to merrily go off on an exclusive non-carbon route and ignore coal plants in India and China."
It makes complete sense to a) be a leader, b) set an example and c) do what we CAN do to save the environment. The statement you made is one the right-wingers consistantly make, and it makes consitantly zero sense. "I'm not doing anything until everybody does something all at once." When has that ever happened?
Sorry to sound off. But I really disagree with that line of thinking.
