That people who comment on the black electorate's support of a particular candidate aren't black themselves. The Clinton name is gold to at least 80% of the black electorate. Many African Americans are willing to support Clinton over Obama because they want a return to the prosperity of the '90s and because Obama is an untested commodity and represents a demographic heretofore unwelcomed in the position of the office of the president.
For the Biden, Dodd and Richardson supporters, Clinton will undoubtedly be their second choice because experience matters for them above all talk of hawkishness or Clinton "redux." So, Obama and Clinton are basically battling for their FLOOR of support, which unsurprisingly is going to settle around the 30% mark come Jan. 3. Clinton's win in Iowa will come from her appeal as a second choice for those whose choice does not reach the 15% required threshold for caucus delegate apportionment.
Seems like a nice guy-I wish he could have stuck it to Cubin this time around. It LOOKS like he will have to run another stellar campaign and hope that Wyoming voters are looking for a fresh start from the GOP rather than from Cubin.
All those guys at NBC--at least when Tom Brokaw was around--with the exception of Chris Matthews--were Neocons back in 2000 when Bush was "elected." Russert is the biggest Republican apologist in network news.
