    and yet you talk...

I don't agree with his decision on a whole but it's better than nothing. Are you only seeing the tip of the iceberg because there is more under the surface than you realize...

  • The devision was to be expected.  You can't get a group of people who all want the same thing together and give them two choices.  I think this a great example of what can happen when you bring passion into politics.  If we as voters went along with apathy we are known for, none of this would have happened.

I don't think we can blame Obama or Hilary or their supporters for this.  There is a division but its only because people are too set in their opinions of one versus the other.  What is wrong is the entire mentality of "well, Hilary didn't win so I am voting for McCain".  People just need to get over themselves.

  • comment on a post Is There Really a Media Bias? over 6 years ago

It's true.  the biases do occur in media.  I think, at least in part, it's due to the viewing audience.  It's the reason the don't show football highlights on the lifetime channel. The sad thing is that to people that actually pay attention, the biases don't matter.  It's the people who decide that they want to see where the potential candidates stand.

Senate passes stem cell research.  Bush plans on vetoing it because its not moral.  Yet the cells would be taken from "embryos created for in vitro fertilization that would otherwise be discarded by fertility clinics".

    argh.

    and kurt vonnegut died.

    I remember my dare program...

it taught me how to make a pipe out of a coke can.  the police officer also told me where (which region) in the Allegheny forest i could find pot growing.  My thoughts on this are that people are going to use drugs if they want to, if they are legal or not.

"Did you know America ranks the lowest in education but the highest in drug use? It's nice to be number one, but we can fix that. All we need to do is start the war on education. If it's anywhere near as successful as our war on drugs, in no time we'll all be hooked on phonics"

it makes sense.  but i am not about to debate the educational issue.

After watching this video, a lot of words come to mind...like amusing or moronic.  Who cares how well some 3d animated character can play bongos?

i understand that this is a new forum for which the political battle can be waged, but i think that it will probably draw those interested to the game not those in the game to politics.

  • comment on a post Bush White House: Stick the Old People in HMOs over 7 years ago

The funny thing is that HMOS and hospitals are pushing the sick elderly into nursing homes because they still need medical attention but usually they can't properly be taken care of in a nursing home. Then pressure from the nursing home's corp and insurance providers push these people back home.  its crazy.  There needs to be more government money sent to nursing homes, not more unneeded burden.

I am trying to start a NWPA blog.  I never realized how much doesn't really go on here.

  • I keep hearing that if we just get up and go it will cause chaos but i firmly disagree.  i don't think you can get more chaotic than it already is. The longer we are over there, more lives are lost.  The idea of staying there indefinitely is insane.  While we are at it, why not try to unite the Gaza strip?
