Major Media Cooperate in Obama Deceit

At roughly 6:45 ET tonight, PBS's evening news hour reported that Senator Barack Obama went over the "magic number" (2118) of delegates needed to claim the Democratic presidential nomination. He went over with superdelegates, and a new total of 2123.

Minutes later Fox News reported the same story, and NPR affiliates were not far behind. AP had actually broken the story PBS reported.

However, the evening news casts on the air at the time on all three major networks -- ABC, NBC, and CBS -- were mysteriously silent. MSNBC and CNN continued for the next 45 minutes to report Obama as lacking 10 delegates.

Why? Obama had planned a stagecraft to occur after the polls closed at 8PM ET in South Dakota, and the news agencies were cooperating with the fiction that elected delegates and not superdelegates had put him over the magic number.

Sound familiar? Think of all the collusion between the media and Bush before and during the invasion of Iraq. Mission accomplished, indeed.

All media...

...outlets have had different delegate numbers throughout the campaign.  Why is it difficult to understand that some may have him still short of the needed number?

No, they have been shameless..

Why do you think they said Hillary was pulling out? They saw the landslide in PR and they want Hillary voters to stay home.

Re: No, they have been shameless..

Apparently, so do former Hillary supporters like Maxine Waters...it was all part of the brilliant plan to support her for months, and then switch to sway Montana and SD supporters.

Bwah ha ha!

BTW, don't forget to turn this post in for your McPoints.

McPoints! Love it.

Do you get a Happy Meal with that? Because some of the folks around here could certainly use one.

Re: No, they have been shameless..

It's unseemly to compare Obama to Bush and cite some alleged conspiracy to deprive Clinton of the nomination. Bill & Hillary Clinton are the best political tag-team in the history of the world and have a combined 75 years of political experience. If an inexperienced and naive junior Senator whose only accomplishment is giving a speech in 2002 beat them, then Hillary does not deserve to be the nominee because she is not capable of defeating McCain.

"Made" is probably a strong term. "Found it and put text on it" works better.

Or perhaps they were fact checking before they ran with the biggest story of the year so far.

Then again, this is your first blog. You've never made a comment or rated a comment. Perhaps you're just a troll.

The fact that you would even dare to compare anything like this to "Mission Accomplished" just shows your true colors.

Go McBlog elsewhere.

Get a freakin' life!!! Tonight is a

hugely historic moment in our history and I wouldn't care one little bit if Obama orchestarted this down to the second with all the MSM to have the VOTERS in one of the primary states rather then the SD's put him over the top. They can dole it out anyway they want. It's irrelevant considering the magnitude of the moment. There is a lot more going on here than your feeble little attempt at division. Go away...
