NOT an Edwards Diary

Looks like the all Edwards all the time show is playing here at MYDD. That's OK I guess. After all, this site is driven mostly by the readers.

What I find intersting is that this site bears no resemblance to the reality of the Dem presidential race. Edwards is a distant third in 100% of the polls. You wouldn't know that looking at this site.

I finding myself expanding my universe when it comes to blogs. I am liking Marc Ambinder, The Caucus, The Plank, and others. They all provide a broader range of diarys, covering more of the candidates.

If you look at the Site Meter graph, you can see that web pages views for this year peaked in Arpil and has declined most every month since then.

To my way of thinking, this is reflective of the strong Edwards stance this site has taken on. Looking at Edwards polling numbers you will see that he averaged about 18% in April and has gone down over the months to 13% average today. That decline follows the fall off on this blog.

Fewer people support him in reality, but here on MYDD his popularity lives on, basically in definace of facts, at least in my opinion.

I wonder where this blog goes from here?

Re: NOT an Edwards Diary

I think it drops off after April due to nice weather.

I don't think so

Several sites on the Site Meter Top 20 are either going up or stable since April. Sites like Lifehacker, The Gawker, Gizmodo, or Kotuku.

Interstingly, DailyKos is down too since April. Maybe that's because it's an all the time Obama and Edwards site.

As their popularity drops so the DailyKos's. I think there is a correlation.

Re: NOT an Edwards Diary

I suspect the Edwards campaign pays people to do some of it but that is just a feeling.  But then again, he has some strong fanatical support so maybe not- who knows- at any rate, it'll be all over soon, regardless.  He is getting better press these days, I'm seeing, though I'm not really seeing his poll numbers going up- he's been pretty much stuck in the same place since he started.

Tuesday night's debate is going to be a bloodbath.  I'm wondering if Hillary should surprise them and start going after them first instead of waiting for the inevitable- put them on the defense which would be unexpected and shake them up a little.  I don't know- we'll see- let's get this show on the road.

Re: NOT an Edwards Diary

Well, in all fairness, without MyDD and Daily Kos, we all would have forgotten he was even still in the race. I mean, it's really sad when your campaign is making official responses to attacks by ........Steven Colbert.

Hello?
