2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

The wave has crested for Obama. I also saw the Rass.showing HRC gaining.  The debate showed Hillary as Crown Royal and Barack as a can of near beer. America is begining to see through the smoke and mirror show that Obama is.

This is the first fully post-Edwards poll too, I think.

A little too much excitement for a paragraph diary.

Don't get too overly confident and hope the voters respond positively for Hillary Clinton.

Keep your eyes on the bigger picture.

Polls go up and down.

Oh, now you're acting like me.

Two polls (Rasmussen and Gallup), lori, they show the exact same bump.

But, I agree...caution.

Me, too- I'm not confident about these polls either- they don't mean that much but it's nice to see them.  If anything, they are a nice "valium" until Tuesday and we see some real results.

You should add a link to the poll in the diary:

Edwards people are finally showing up for Hillary.

Thanks for the suggestion.

There will be some flux in polls due to JRE

dropping out, as his voters are now reassessing their support. Just being 7 points behind "Crown Royal" isn't all that bad, given he was trailing 48-28 on Jan 20th, in the same poll.

Impact of editorial endorsements for Obama will start sinking in in the next couple of days.

Re: 2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

great news! i think the debate has really started to work in favor of clinton as per the cnn focus group; voters see her as more knowledgeable and ready to get things done.

Re: 2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

It may have a local impact. It will be big in California.

Re: 2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

Obama bugged out of Cali Friday. I suspect he has thrown in the towel and is hoping Oprah & Co.will rough up Hillary. I suspect the effect will be minimal

Re: 2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

People are used to celebrities in California.  They are a dime a dozen.  I've run into several myself just going out shopping in L.A.  Having Oprah in town for a day or two isn't going to have the effect that it had in Iowa or South Carolina.

Re: 2-2-08 Gallup HRC 48, BHO 41

I hear Oprah is getting static for supporting Obama. Same old Illinois politics. I dare her to poll her audience on live TV and see what they say.

It will get two mins on local tv. It's essentially preaching to the converted. And if anything emphasizing the aa vote storyline.

wow, with a 48 for an aver.

she must have been well over 50.

I hope it is real. But if not, maybe it will at least neutralize the msm for at least a minute.

It's one days polling

Not only that, it's two polls that have not been among the most reliable of late.  I wouldn't run too far on this.

That said, I'll be anxiously looking for tomorrow's updates, cuz I'm just that way. . . .
