Great diary! I have been hearing so much about this, but nothing in the MSM.
It wouldnt surprise me that the DNC doesnt want the campaign to come out with this. But it doesnt mean that the PEOPLE cant come out with it. The DNC is willing to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida. So this doesnt surprise me.
I am sure this is going o go to the convention.
Hillary is clearly the best candidate and the supers won't have cover to switch until the convention. That is my prediction.
Here is a very telling point about all this:
Joe trippi, who was Edwards' campaign manager wrote a piece saying that he is agonizing over the fact that he didn't push Edwards to stay in the race until the convention. He was NEVER a Hillary fan. To me, it says that he sees now that Hillary has a really good shot at this, and too bad he didn't follow the 'stick it out until the end' strategy with his candidtae, Edwards. A bitter pill.
Actually, you are wrong. The announcements of the supers, as well as the elected delegates, are wrongly represented by the media as a done deal. The super pledges are only intentions to vote for someone. The actual votes do not happen until the convention.
So if Hillary stays in until the convention, which she surely will, everyone agrees, the vote will happen then, and the supers and even the pledged delegates, legally, vote then and only then.
Thank you so much for this diary. It has been something that has really bugged so many of us throughout this campaign. So many of us knew that the Clintons would never do this, just by who they are. But it is particulrly true that they would know that they had nothing to gain.
You put it in the right perspective. The people were fooled, manipulated, and we can only hope that the truth will prevail when Hillary id our President.
I know if BO's campaign implodes, it will be blamed on the Reverand. But I reallly think it was already tanking, and it was the fault of BO himself. This just added oil to the fire.
Wright did not make those comments in San Fran, nor act like a blue nosed elitist for the last few months. And Hillary demonstrated this with her last big wins in Ohio, PA, and pulling out Texas like she did.
It is unfair to blame it on Wright, it is BO that people are rejecting.
