He left the World Bank after his African Development Initiative. That is where he proposed that instead of prohibiting toxic wastes, developed countries should export it to Africa. And Africa should use the fact that African lives are worth less than developed country lives by large scale imports of toxic waste.
Then he left the President of Harvard after moving the endowment into derivatives, firing the most competent traders, and alienating the faculty. Oh, and he oversaw a historical drop in the percentage of women recruited and promoted. But that was just a bonus of his overall management failure.
Clinton was pro-business. Clinton was a supporter of creation of wealth, and of workers.
Please do not confuse supporting trust fund holders and CEOs as being pro-business.
Words should have consistent meaning. pro-business should not mean "destroying wealth at an unprecedented rate and throwing the world into a depression".
But I suppose since pro-life now means "advocates AIDS by opposing condoms, supports policies that increase infant mortality, maternal mortality, abortion, and teen pregnancy" this abuse of pro-business is indeed business as usual.
The current Pope is terrible. I cannot believe the church put forward an actual Nazi Youth who then supported a Holocaust denier. Now the Pope is in Africa basically arguing that condoms increase AIDS.
Sometimes I do believe in evil. Like when I look at the current Pope. The Church in the sixties was about integration, and the war on poverty.
