I don't get this- Edwards had the money to stay in- he didn't want to- nor has he asked people to keep voting for him, I don't think. If Edwards wanted to be Kingmaker, he could probably do it now by endorsing someone and he doesn't want to. So keep voting on him doesn't seem to accomplish anything to me.
How many times have the Obama people tried to ring the death knell for Hillary? How many times did we hear Hillary was through if she could not win Iowa? OVER and OVER again. It's always the same- if she doesn't do XXX, she's DONE. And yet it never happens. I'd worry about your own candidate if I were you.
My God, the 90's were great times- it's some Democrats who seem to have amnesia- just four years ago, they tried to get back in the White House praising those Clinton years and they used it as their reasoning to be put back in- now it seems those years were awful.
I loved the 90's- I didn't worry about the Country and the way it was headed- we were doing great and I certainly felt safe with Bill in charge. I think some of you are such hypocrites, if Hillary were not running, you would telling us how wonderful those years were. Just total hypocrisy.
I've never gotten a call. I have no faith in polls and my goodness, there are about a 100 poll result diaries up right now and it's a bit maddening. With only two days to go, I'm not going in a bunch of diaries fighting about this percentage point or that or when it was- after all, we'll know soon enough- why bother? People are consumed with the horserace poll numbers.
Is a "day before" endorsement really that effective, though- some people would not even hear it, I would think- not everyone is glued to the press/media. I mean, I don't think there will be endorsements so I'm not trying to water on the idea- but even in fantasy, let's say something that favored my side, that Gore endorsed Hillary tomorrow (He's not, of course)- I like Gore, i would not be thrilled that he did it at the "last minute if I did not like Hillary- and what if I had already voted but like Gore so much, I would do what he advised- I would think that at least a week or two before is the best time to endorse- so the Kennedy thing was probably good for Obama's campaign.
I don't understand why in the world he wouldn't take it- if they won, he would be practically assured of the next open Primary nomination- it sounds crazy to me- a lot of other rising "stars" could come forth during that time-this would be an advantage.
