Truthfully, it's Chris Matthews who love to put her through hell, which he has been doing for months- he doesn't want her to win the nomination, though- but if she does- he will be the one dancing on her grave then dancing for 4 years on it if she is President. If she does become President, I hope she and Bill refuse to go on any Chris Matthews or Tim Russert show and instruct the White House to give them no INFO on ANYTHING.
It bugged me that people- mainly pro-Obama- criticized Hillary for standing up and clapping for the success of the surge during the SOTU- to me it was obvious she was clapping for the soldiers and their success, NOT the surge itself. She was supporting the soldiers, NOT the plan.
Great choice, big applause. I thought the same thing recently about the "unity" theme. The Republicans have obstructed bill after bill this year- what has Obama done to make ANY of them cross the ailse. If he could point to one thing and say "Republicans were going to deadlock this but I convinced several to come over to our side," I might be more inclined to believe what he keeps saying, but there's been "nothing." In fact, he ducked two of the most visible votes- the MOVEON and Kyle/Lieberman. A week after the Kyle/Lieberman vote, he went on and on about how important and crucial that vote was, how it was practically giving Bush the go-ahead fo war and yet he never said ONE WORD about the vote before it happened and only said he was against several hours after it was voted on and there was a debate that day and not ONE WORD from him about it (Edwards had plenty to say, though) It just seems to me he is hoping everything will come together without doing anything while Hillary has actual plans to make things happen. She's going to work for it while he is just going to hope it happens. That's one reason I'm for Hillary.
I'd take his endorsement over Maria Shriver's. "First Lady of California"- that's a joke. She has been practically invisible since Arnold took office. Since she is a democrat, she has remained firmly way in the background. The only time she comes up anymore is when people talk about Arnold cheating on her.
I remember that also happening in the last election- I think Bush was using someone's song and they asked him to stop (Springsteen, maybe?). Since Mellencamp was a staunch Edwards supporters and even doing concerts for her, I would think it would be a no-bainer not to use his songs, butI guess not.
Republicans sell a T-shirt with "Imagine no liberals" on it which I'm sure Lennon would not be thrilled about.
How some of my fellow gays are supporting Obama over Hillary, I have no clue. She's the right choice for us- his religious pandering worries me- and bringing up Jesus Christ last week or so reminds me too much of the Republicans. Yes, he'll be better than any Republican but I just feel we will make better progress under Hillary.
Obama ducked both the MOVEON vote and the Kyle/Lieberman vote- there's a pattern here- as Hillary rightfully said, he doesn't want to take responsibility for votes- he's not a leader- I'm sure Hillary wasn't crazy about the MOVEON and K/L vote either, but she took a stand even though it could hurt her politically. Obama is a panderer, not a leader.
Yes, he gets millions of hits PER DAY. That's why it was depressing for me to see him going for Obama before this. I knew he would influence people- it especially stung because he is gay and was going for Obama and I have been annoyed how Obama has handled the gay issue.
