Just before Obama places his hand on the Bible to take the oath of office, remove your shoes and throw them across the room. This will serve as a final good-bye and a symbolic repudiation of the last eight years of misery.
at the joint press conference with Bush and Jacques Chirac, not too long after 9-11. The US and French press corps were asking questions in English and in French. Gregory asked a question of Chirac in quite beautiful French.
Idiot Boy, a.k.a the Naked Emperor, took it upon himself to make a snarky, sneering comment to Gregory along the lines of "well, aren't you a show off?."
It showed Bush for the small minded man that he is. A real president would have said something like "David, how wonderful that you are so fluent in French. It's so important for everyone to learn other languages..."
Ever since that moment I've had a certain respect for David Gregory.
Hillary Clinton's loss was largely due to the anti-democratic primary system and to her lack of support from the DNC leadership. She was not rejected by the voters, but by the Democratic Party apparatus.
She wasn't jilted by the voters. She was shafted by the DNC.
But thanks for giving her credit for her classy and loyal support for Obama.
I read it more than once during the primary. If I hadn't read it, I wouldn't have restated it here. It gives me zero pleasure to note that Donna Brazile was extremely partisan although she feigned objectivity.
