Desperation and the Angry Mob: Tell McCain to Renounce the Lies and Threats Made by his Followers

Times are getting desperate over at McCain headquarters. Poll numbers are dropping and defeat is in sight.

Unfortunately, when the powerful become desperate, their followers can become dangerous.

Palin and McCain can't win on the issues; so they have been focusing their speeches and rallies on personal attacks fueled by anger and hate.

Frighteningly, as their attacks against Obama become increasingly vicious, so does the reaction of the crowds they are addressing.

Have you seen the video from some of these events? They seem to be pushing their supporters to operate from hate and fear - rather than from issues and facts. They are trying to stir up an angry mob.

You can hear shouts of "Terrorist!" and "Treason!" coming from supporters at several McCain/Palin rallies, and the Secret Service is now investigating an incident in which someone shouted "Kill him!" at a rally in Florida.

This kind of fear-mongering and hateful speech is unacceptable, yet John McCain is standing by and saying nothing.

Tell John McCain to renounce these statements, tone down his rhetoric, and stop inciting hatred. Progressive Future has a tool on its website that makes it easy to send him this message - you can find it here.

McCain nor Palin

Will back off, because then they admit they are doing something wrong.

McCain basically threw his base a grenade last night with his new bailout plan, I doubt he even want's to go out without Palin as his armor.

And, there is a dramatic, in fact, a show-stopper consequence to this.

If either the SS or the Media gets a hold of one of these pyschos and we find NeoNazi or White Supremicist backgrounds, that's game over.

The media will drown Palin and McCain in a wall of questions, and they will go bunker mentality, and never be seen again.

NOTHING ELSE will hit the media news cycles.

This is the most dangerous hail mary, because it can be run back for a touchdown that also runs out the clock.

Funny you should mention...

The Secret Service is 'interested:'

The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers.

It's only a matter of time and Biden is effectively goalkeeping on the whole matter.  We're all in this together.

The next smear...

...Barack Obama fathered TWO black children!

Seriously. That's the direction this thing is headed.

Palin: An accessory to a possible crime
Palin should be arrested for encouraging her audience to inflict bodily harm on Obama. If it were you or me, we'd already be in jail.

Cindy McCain should be sharing Palin's jail cell. She's also an accessory to the crime. This morning, I heard Cindy McCain say Obama caused a cold shiver in her body. I think that was the botox, Cindy, not Obama.

She might have felt a shiver

But, I thnk it was probably precognition, as John is probably going to be hell to live with on Nov 5th.....

Cindy, word of advice, don't be making any cracks about his hairline that day either.....

Scary stuff

I am fed up with this.  I wrote to my Congressman in Pa, who is a Republican, telling him if I find out he's supporting this rhetoric, I will do all I can to ensure he is not re-elected.  I also wrote to several news agencies.

There is nowhere good this rhetoric can go.  Mob mentality is a scary thing.  Do you think they will be held on accessory to murder when the first racist crime happens based on their smears??

Tell John McCain to renounce these statements, tone down his rhetoric, and stop inciting hatred.
