We need all our forces now

I still see too many Clinton supporters who have not yet joined forces with the Obama campaign to elect a democrat in November. We are now just a few short months from the convention, and less than five months from the election. In other words the general election campaign is on. We need the help of all our allies. We need your energy and your vote.

Please look at the alternative, and if you can't yet do it for Obama, then could you do it for our troops stuck in an endless hell in Iraq? We have sent them into a war that should have never been started to begin with. Still, however, they have done everything we have asked of them. Over 4000 have lost their lives there, and 10's of thousands more have lost limbs and suffered brain injuries, and likely will never be the same. How many more have to suffer these fates? Isn't it time we let them come home?

With Barack Obama leading this nation, along with a strong democratic House and Senate, we can end this war swiftly. We can bring them all home. On the other hand, John McCain has promised endless war, and you can believe him on that, because John McCain, along with his buddy Joe Lieberman, has never met a war he didn't like.

Not long ago Bruce Springstein updated a Vietnam era song imploring that we "Bring them home."

BRING THEM HOME (IF YOU LOVE YOUR UNCLE SAM)©

If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

It will make the politicians sad, I know
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
They wanna tangle with their foe
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

They wanna test their grand theories
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
With the blood of you and me
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Now we'll give no more brave young lives
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
For the gleam in someone's eyes
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

(Hooo-hooo hooo-hooo)
(Hooo-hooo hooo-hooo)

The men will cheer and the boys will shout
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Yeah and we will all turn out
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

The church bells will ring with joy
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
To welcome our darlin' girls and boys
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

We will lift their voice and sound
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Yeah, when Johnny comes marching home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

It's a great song with a great message, but I don't want anyone to have to update anymore Vietnam era songs. and I don't want our children to have to update any Iraq era songs either. We need a change of courses in this country away from war, and that's why we need Barack Obama.

I know many good democrats are still hurting from the long primary battle, but our brave young soldiers are hurting a lot more. They need to come home safe and sound. We need to welcome them back home, and we need to get on with the business of repairing the damage that has been done.

The battle ahead will not be an easy one, we need everyone on board. Let's all stand together. Please do it for our troops, they have done enough for us.

Most Clinton supporters are already onboard

It'll take a couple of months for the rest to arrive.

Do you even care about America?

Like automatons, you keep repeating this simplistic, content free message.. We are better than McCain, McCain is bad.

How convenient in that you don't have to now do practically anything more than that. You can now drop all those pesky issues like healthcare.

We are basically left with something along the lines of Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad.

Please forgive me for making it sound like a strategy for six year olds.. but I have to ask the question - Don't you think we deserve better than that? I think that you are both underestimating the resources that the GOP has to influence the election outcome (like having the MSM in their pocket far more than most people realize) and also you are overestimating the ability of Obama to reach the vast majority of Americans without making real COMMITMENTS on things like universal healthcare.

Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad.

Get with the program, you slackers.. Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad.

You are taking the American people for granted.

Its not a winning strategy. Its a losing strategy.

Its not a Democratic strategy, its more of a Republican strategy (because Obama gets to campaign WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT REPUBLICANS OR THEIR OFTEN VASTLY DESTRUCTIVE POLICIES.)

Do you even care?

There, I've said it. Where is democracy headed if we can only expect Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad. Obamagood McCainbad. instead of intelligence and substance.

I don't have confidence in Obama like I think I would need to have to get on board. Not by a long shot. And you are not doing anything to convince me either. Most of the Obaa supporters I see posting here just dont have that spark.

Their arguments are often morose.

The Democratic party has to avoid the trap of simply coasting on past achievements.

Re: Do you even care about America?

Oh yeah that's a terrible strategy trying to show that Obama is better than McCain. I just don't know how anyone could have thought of it.

Re: Do you even care about America?

Such a rambling post shows lack of thinking clarity.

Parse your content and it basically says merely "I'm not enthused over merely voting for the best of the two candidates, I want 'spark' and excitement as well."

You stretched that to twenty times its needed length, and reduced it to one twentieth its needed clarity.

Re: Do you even care about America?

I congratulate you for making some sense out of what he was saying. I couldn't figure it out at all.

UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE

UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE

Its not an option.

If Obama abandons this issue, people are going to feel as if he cheated them out of their vote.

Re: We need all our forces now

More Obamaton blather.

How about this?

Stop disenfranchising voters.

Give back the stolen Michigan delegates and count Florida in full, recount the dels, and if you win, I'll support Obama.

Anything else and you can go to h*ll.

Re: We need all our forces now

If I'm an "Obamaton" because I belive, that if for no other reason, it's important to elect Obama and end this war, then all I can say is that we need a lot more Obamatons.

So you are saying that because you didn't get what you think you deserve out of Florida and Michigan, then who cares if our troops have to stay in Iraq for God knows how long. I don't think that's very fair, do you?
