  • i nkow everyone is apt to read their own personal beliefs into it... it's human nature... but i don't think EE meant this in any way shape or form to be indictative on any sort of endorsement whatsoever...

and if you do parse... it's more pro-Biden than anything, lol...

    thanks for reading... :D

  • yes, to an extent, we deal with what we are given...

but that can't be a reason to stop trying to affect change...

each person's singular action, combined with other's singular actions creates collective action and that's what brings about true change...

we cannot give up, because if we do, we really do lose our country...

  • i agree (and so does Elizabeth state) that it's not only the press but us too... we don't demand information, and the press is more than willing to supply us with unending shallow coverage...

it's a vicious circle that won't change unless the masses truly truly demand it...

  • Thank you Satya, for both the compliment and the link. That article is exemplary of what I fear... Too many people seem unconcerned or unaware, and that furthers my worry...

I am working my damnedest to be as Paul Reveresque as possible before it may be too late to recover from...

Yeah - I am a ninth amendment girl myself. To me that is THE argument against any "originalist" people.

I was simply calling all the idiot powers that be in the WH and the right wing of the SCOTUS f-n hypocrites because they have been screaming about so called judicial activism for years and touting themselves as "constructionists" when their "unitary executive" theory IS activist.

I was calling them out on that and I think everyone should let them know how hypocritical they are if they side with W on anything that's been currently underfoot.

    I'm surprised on 2 fronts:

First, I can't believe that Kucinich supporters are happy with the way the debates have been structured. Clearly, their guy is not getting a fair share of mic time; the current debate style marginalizes him as well. If I were a Kucinich supporter, I would be screaming about the unfairness of the current debate style.

Second, starting a frigging war within the party based on reading into the limited conversation (this wasn't a private meeting fcol) where one had to lean in to speak and be heard (it was a loud public area, not a library) is exactly what the Repubs are waiting for; they know we are a circular firing squad. I can't believe we haven't learned this lesson yet. Don't think I don't find it ironic that FOX was part of the transcription. Man, we Dems certainly can be lemmings if we are led - give us a partial conversation and a possible backstory and we'll run with it every time.

These formats are not making it possible to be able to really hear what any of the candidates stand for. If I were Dennis, instead of starting a very public snipe fight that will be in every news cycle for days on end (and probably on the front end of said cycle), I would publicly agree that the debates should be changed and maneuver in so that I made sure I would have a prime seat in any new format. But that would be smart politics... both for Kucinich AND the party.

Flies with honey. Flies with honey.
