Do you intend to tear off my skin and wear it like a robe, weirdo?

Does anyone here have a good recipe for chocolate brownies, or a funny picture of a cat, or perhaps a drama llama?

And insert whatever other thread hijack you wish here, along with a cat picture and the word fail.

Damn, that was fun.  I'm actually now glad it is against the rules to tr people for  hijacking diaries.  Forget writing diaries and posting valid comments.  This is fun.  I can see now why some mydd members do this all the time.I think this will be my new "style" around here.

they don't like on MyDD, so what makes you think they'd have the self control to avoid an entire website they don't like?

I almost feel bad for some of the most ardent Obama supporters on the internet.  The poor dumb bastards (not an insult but a term of endearment) seem entirely devoid of self control.  They just can't seem to get enough of the diaries they don't like, the diarists they can't stand, and the websites they hate.

A 3 kW solar photovoltaic system that is "grid tied" (i.e., you feed electricity directly into the grid)

How does this work, and what are the advantages?

See, 'cause you're concerned about something, and writing a diary about it.

Seriously though, I'd tip and rec if I could, but I can't, so I won't.

    Nice diary.

  • I tweaked the letter a bit with current events (cut and pasted from your diary).

To the executives at Barnes and Noble:

As one of America's major booksellers, Barnes and Noble has a great opportunity to be a standing advocate for information, tolerance and objectivity. However, your advertisement on the Rush Limbaugh Show sends a different message. Limbaugh continues to make blatantly racist, hateful comments, not based on objective fact, but on his own intolerant biases.

    He recently said this:

"I see devastation in Iowa and Illinois that dwarfs what happened in New Orleans...I see people working together. I see people trying to save their property . . . I don't see a bunch of people running around waving guns at helicopters, I don't see a bunch of people running shooting cops. I don't see a bunch of people raping people on the street... I don't see a bunch of people doing everything they can . . . whining and moaning, "Where's FEMA, where's Bush?" I see the heartland of America. When I look at Iowa and when I look at Illinois, I see the backbone of America."

However, in New Orleans, you had a poverty-endemic urban center experiencing one of the most powerful natural distasters, which resulted in a death toll of nearly 1,900 deaths and $81.2 billion in damages, which the victims were given no warning to and FEMA feebly came to aid very, very late in the game; on the other hand, the Midwestern floods impacted a sprawling, white, rural population, who were given warning and immediate aid from FEMA, resulting in 24 deaths and $1.5 billion in damages.

Clearly, Rush's above-referenced quote constitutes pure and unadulterated racism.

The money that your company spends to advertise on his website and show goes to support Limbaugh and his hate-filled rhetoric.

In the 21st century, with our country having come so far to protect its citizens from discrimination and hate, it is appalling that a public figure may make such inflammatory, racist remarks without being held accountable. I urge you to withdraw your company as an advertiser on the Rush Limbaugh Show.

    MyDD.

This place sucks now.  The inmates are running the asylum.

A thread hijacker is a troll on most message boards.  However, MyDD rewards trolling, first by allowing thread hijacking, and second by making it a punishable offense for normal members to TR thread hijackers.

That's why I don't see myself being here much longer.  The thread hijack trolls OWN this place.

diary, he's going to ruin it for anyone who might like it, instead of changing the fucking channel, getting the fuck out and finding a diary that suits his interests.

garbage looking for tax returns, too?

    What is this, McCarthyism?

This site is getting really, really ugly.

  • Does Barnes and Noble really advertise with him?  Perhaps you could link to his sponsors, so people can contact them, inform them about what he said, and request they pull their sponsorship.

  • dander not gander up a bit.  I know that I'm a bit sensitive to the term "concern troll".

  • the Obama camp doesn't want muslim looking women in the background, given the Obama muslim smears.

In fact, if we can be totally honest here, I watched that speech and what I saw was a concerted effort to fill the area behind Obama with older, white women.  Go ahead and look at the pictures.  There's an older white guy or two, and a younger person sprinkled in here or there, but its like 80& older white women.  Why?  Because he is pushing for the Hillary Clinton holdovers.  Hillary holdovers are not young muslim women.  They are older white women.  So, his camp chased the young muslim women away, and put older white women in their place.
