How do you explain the lack of African Americans and other minorities who vote liberally on Democratic issues not presently not well represented on blogs and even the low income voterswho agree and vote for "left" leaning issues that are also not currently represented on the blogs....this can be extraploated to include women also.

So it seems that this "golden ghetto" (as Al From likes to call the Dean Blogosphere) of rich white boys seem to lean "left" even without the aid of the traditional "REAL WORLD" liberal constituents.

That is because you NEVER believe in the values of the Democratic party. I hope you enjoy watching women die... just so you can get your kicks playing God with some one else's body...

Yes I am sure it is making you are HAPPY to know that soon women will go back to back alley abortions... I am sure you are tickled pink.

That is my point this is a strawman arguement... about which comes first the chicken or the egg. It is ludicris to even think like that... how in the hell can you promote a policy WITHOUT politics or vice versa.

This whole frame is just the DLC covering the GOP's hindquarters ONCE AGAIN from being burnt on the Katrina debacle... this crap is so tiring.

This is not a failure of individual Dems it is a failure of the entire Democratic Party.

We can simply review what went wrong after Katrina and make quick fixes, or we can seize the opportunity to rebuild America's cities and towns.

When the hell are Democrats going to learn how to chew and walk at the same time. This is not an Either/Or situation.

The Democrats MUST hold Republicans accountable... this is why they are running rampant and the DLC ALWAYS gives them cover like this weak frame: Policy Before Politics.

No you do both and if you can't then you don't need to hold office.

    What does that mean?

Isn't this just buying into the frame that the Republicans have made that Democrats are tooooo partisan?

I could understand this if Democrats had actually stood for something in the last five years but they haven't. Particulary, due to misguided leadership the organization that Vilsack is now chairing the DLC.

    Policy Before Politics... gee ok

By all means let's set aside "politics" because that is exactly how the GOP has won and has been able to push through their right wing agenda... because they never play politics... and they never are partisan.

This is more of the same D emocrat L osing C onstantly..

Of course the Dems need a strategy and new ideas but this constant couching them in quivering defensive positions is just unnerving.

According to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, more than $7 million went to advertising. That figure doesn't include a reported $3 million in television ads spent in battleground states like Iowa and New Hampshire over the last month.

So what is 7% of 10 million?

McMahon & Squier produced the ads --

Wow.... and I guess you being the MANEGER of the campaign had NO INPUT... this is sadder than I thought. Better you say nothing, it will at least leave people with their illusions of you.

At the end of the day when divorce was nearing between Dean and you... do you /wanna know why /people picked Dean... because he did not do this whiny finger pointing shit like you. He did not go to the papers and say it was your fault or the ad makers fault... and any blame he did do was not for media consumption only what the former "in crowd" has kissed and told.

At the end I saw something I had never seen before in the Democratic Party... a true fighter. Dean took so many blows, it hurt just to watch them attack him on tv. He did not do that so he could have the biggest blog, or get more corporate lobbying contracts.... he did it for me.

That is why when the dust has finally settled Dean still has a posse... and you are shacked up with Rosenberg... the epitome of every thing Dean was fighting against and evertything I fight against... a greedy corporatist who would sell his mother to make a buck... if you haven't figured why Dean is Dean and Trippi is Trippi yet, it is called.

    INTEGRITY

  • I'm not immune to the argument that abortion would most likely be criminalized in states where women can least afford to travel to states where it would remain legal.

you forget all those little laws that they have already implemented like it is now illegal in many states to take minors over state lines to get abortions...

  • Bullcrap...

Dems are being set up by anti-choicers like Reid.

  • Parker/NOW wing won't accept any restriction on abortion, they are neutralizing the issue enough to actually drive weak pro-choice voters to the GOP.

Well does YOUR WING want women to carry to term non viable births or to die in pregnancy instead of terminating a late term pregnancy which in fact happens so rarely. Perhaps if you put down the GOP propoganda and actually tried to understand the issues...the entire party would be much stronger.

Perhaps you should spend a day or an hour at an abortion clinic and see that "parental notification laws" are just promoted by the wingnuts to supposedly "slow down" teenagers getting abortion... ot that in most states the back up plan of a 15 year old girl having to go to a judge and tell him her personal history so that he can act like her Daddy... or the fact that in some states many of the judges that are to give these girls a hearing have recused themselves due to their own "personal" beliefs....
