The one troubling thing I found about Henry's record is he signed a law that decrease the top marginal rate in Oklahoma from 6.65 to 6.25 percent. From what I understand the top rate starts at $10,000 for individuals and $21,000 for a married couple not counting exemption. This was part of a larger tax bill. I don't know if Henry has the ablity to line-item veto.
From looking at Okalohoma's tax rates cutting each bracket by .2% would have been a much fairer move than cutting the top rate by .5%.
Unfortuantly we don't all make the $170 thousand or more you make and it does take both parents working in many situation, especially with the outsourcing of many of the higher paying jobs because of yours and other Republicans and a few Democrats support for descructive economic policies.
For instants my mother had to start working again, when I was a kid in 1990 because my dad lost his a production machine operator.
Seems like Warner is being attach by the economic conservatives, social conservative Blue Dogs and with the social liberal, economic conservatives Wilder, who was for keeping the Virginia tax code regressive.
I'll have to hear what Warner has to say before I can support him, but I definitly put him ahead of Hillary, Bayh, and Richardson.
