I wouldn't be suprised if Hafer is using this race against Murphy as a stepping stone to run for Governor as Democrat in 2010. Which if she wins could prove to be a good strategy. As it would cement her as a relatively loyal Democrat stepping aside for Casey to run for Senate, then running for the House to defeat a Democrat.
I strongly support Casey, but I'll answer what I believe is wrong with the DLC: They support CAFTA, they take the side of multi-national corporations over the interest of the American people and the human race as a whole.
Most Democrats don't even like Rendell. I'd say a couple things are contributing he signed a pay-raise that made the state legislature the second highest paid in the nation. Also he kind of screwed over a couple of state unioins. Rendell also made cuts in medicaid and increased taxes. Also Act 72 that is supposed to cut property taxes is encountering some opposition by many school boards.
