Of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. As its basic supply and demand there will be a greater supply of workers than demand for workers which will push wages far below the prevailing wage of $9.00 an hour. This will cause local businesses of the region to pay the current market rate which will in turn hurt consumer buying power thus hurting said business in the end.
Well a non-incumbent Democrat won with like 65% even as Kerry was getting his ass kicked. I think Kerry was a horrible fit for West Virginia, I mean he was portaryed as to the right of Bush on free trade, if he would have kept up with the "Benict Arnold Corporations" he would have got alot more votes. Also guns are important in West Virginia and Kerry was also the worst possible canidate in that catogory too.
My armchair political advisor two cents to Rendell is to make this an issue in 2006 by demanding the legislature repeal that portion of the pay raise he didn't like. He should flail BOTH Reps and Dems for supporting this. It seems an easy thing to do that could go a long way to appealing to swing voters of the moderate and leftist varieties.
I might be wrong, but I think he could have done that since he has a line-item veto.
That were striped of chairmanships that were given to dems that voted yes to the pay raise.
There is a group dedicated to defeated every single incumbent legislature: http://www.pacleansweep.com/main.html
I remember hearing that there was a canidate of the Ultra-rightwing Constitution Party. That would help us out greatly since third party canidates tend to draw more votes in special elections. I don't see a Democrat getting 50% in this race, so I think a rightwing third party canidate will be nessecary to win.
