A few notes:

There isn't a state here that one candidate wins and the other doesn't, but Obama does better than Clinton in three states, Clinton does better than Obama in three states, and they both are six points ahead in Missouri.

McCain tends to poll around the same areas against both of them (in the low 30's in California, high 50's in Alabama, and low to mid 40's elsewhere).

Could California be THAT BIG of a landslide? WTF is wrong with Massachusetts?

Re: New SUSA Head to Head Polls

Looks like Clinton is more electable even without the Republican backlash on Obama right now.

If Obama takes over the democratic race, the controversy will begin and you'll see a rise in McCain and a drop in Obama.

With the baggage of the Clintons, voters would still put her in office before McCain.

Re: New SUSA Head to Head Polls

Additionally, SUSA has Obama beating McCain in VA and IA, while Hillary loses both of those states.  Also, SUSA has Obama one point ahead of McCain in the blue state of Oregon while Clinton is trailing McCain there.

Re: New SUSA Head to Head Polls

Glad you posted these numbers. What I think people don't realize is that Hillary is winning against McCain despite her negatives. Obama might be ahead in some of these matchups now, but his negatives haven't been driven up yet by the Republican attack machine. Hillary is the only candidate who can beat McCain.

What's wrong with Massachusetts?

Deval Patrick is governor.  That's what.
