Obama MLK Speech

It was early April in 1968. I would graduate from H.S. in June.
My eyes were already open. In 8th grade I went through both Birmingham..Bull Conner..hoses..dogs and kids on our TV.
..and of course the Kennedy assignation.
My first LP from my paper route was not the Beatles but Pete Seeger "Live at Carnage Hall"
That year was both "I have a dream" and the Kennedy assignation.
In 1965 I first saw Chavez through my best friend's family.
April 4th...in Denver did not bring the backlash felt in other cities. But..
here is a link to Obama's speech.
I ask that folks put aside yer stuff...
That Sen. Obama is at this time, the leading Democratic Candidate
for the POTUS...fill in the blanks.
Of course I recognize that Sen. Clinton represents the hopes and dreams of women. But remember...women started voting in the 1920's...and African-Americans were not allowed to really vote until the 1960's.
What is important...is that our Party..not theirs...
allow voters to choose...no matter the result.
A transformation of the MYTH..
Tap yer toes..light a candle tonight.
