Wow! A whole week of fucktardery in just 24 hours that played out like a SNL writer's bullsession.
We awoke with George Will's stunning critique of McCain's temperment still ringing in our ears:
"It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?"
D'oh! With friends like that...
Then Palin's (interview?) with Katie, who looked like she was thinking "I can't believe I'm interviewing the dumbest person on the face of the planet. Re: Show us some evidence that McCain had some cattle to match his so-called "reforming" hat - "I'll have to get back to ya." WTF?
I believe the correct response to Palin's chattering goes something like this:
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
Then, after stealing Obama's thunder about issuing a bi-partisian statement, "twas mine idea first, verily""Crash" decides that HIS presence is so needed in DC, he's gonna call off his campaign, cancel his appearance on Letterman (and lie about it), postpone his debate, and float the idea of maybe, just maybe we can call off this Veep debate too. I'm sure that Palin is simply devastated.
Oh, and the polling numbers had nothing to do with this frantic restructuring of your campaign? Or that there might be an investigation of witness tampering? Maybe last month's $15,000 payment to your advisor from FNMA? National Enquirer's naming of Palin's lovahhh, Brad Hanson?
This is a campaign in total meltdown mode, any semblance between this clusterfuck and a real campaign run by rational adults is purely coincidential and unintentional.
Can't wait for Friday.
