Haven't been around here for a while, but hoping the weather improves soon.  I've enjoyed it here in the past and hope to enjoy it more as we head to the general.

Any chance the MyDD folks will be updating their delegate counters soon?  They seem woefully out of date.

If it's 3AM why is she answering the phone wearing a sensible brown blazer from Neiman Marcus and enough lipstick to make Hannah Montana jealous? Has she been entertaining financial services lobbyists?

Earlier Todd was much more objective in his approach.  Now he's back to being a shill for Hill.

Sad.  I thought we had turned a corner.

...have stolen Todd Beeton and replaced him with an objective, insightful commentator.  Outstanding!

Todd's comments in this post have been objective and completely lacking in spin.  NICE TO SEE! Good job, sir.

  • Todd you ignorant slut...

Been waiting for a new post for over 3 hours. Hasn't this non-story run its course? There is a debate tonight, after all, as well as a shit storm surrounding the Johnny Mac allegations.  How about some updates?

Todd, your candidate has just presided over one of the most colossal collapses in political history.

Taking 1,000+ words to point out a poor choice of words from the wife of your opponent seems a bit childish.

Oh man, I felt embarrassed for her. It MAY have been effective 9 months ago, but now it sounds like a dying gasp.

There's no hand wringing or despair here, there's a call to action.

This isn't won and won't be unless everyone who reads this DOES their part.

  • BULLSHIT!

Polls are crap.  The only thing that matters is what happens on November 7.  Turnout determines everything.  Nothing has been won.

PLEASE focus.  The news is good, but focus.

  • Picking up 18 or 19 would be great.  But what if you're over-optimistic, even a little bit?  Let's say Dems pick up 15, meaning still no majority.  As impressive as a 15 point swing would be, it would still be viewed as an all-out disaster.

This won't be as easy as people want to make it.  It's time to bear down.

  • on a comment on Bush and the Comma over 7 years ago

I'm not so sure about the comma being code word for the fundamentalists.  I've read that the statement you referenced is from an old joke by Gracie Allen.

The comma has been prominent in a widespread advertising campaign for the United Church of Christ.  But the UCC is an unapologetically liberal church which has been against the war from the begining.

Barak Obama belongs to a UCC Church.  If I were a Capital "C" Christian, that's the kind I'd be.
