A Film Invitation for MyDD Readers

Note: This has nothing to do with politics. But it is an invitation to MyDD readers to see a free movie this week.

Some of you may have read that Joe Trippi is helping with the promotion of the forthcoming film Peaceful Warrior, starring Nick Nolte.

I'm giving Joe a hand with this, and we wanted to let you know that there are free advance screenings of the film taking place this week for bloggers in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Phoenix.

Details on the screenings and the film after the flip.

You can view a trailer of the film here.

The movie is based upon Dan Millman's best-selling book The Way of the Peaceful Warrior:

Inspired by true events, PEACEFUL WARRIOR tells the unusual story of Millman's junior year in college as a world-class gymnast and Olympic hopeful and his miraculous transformation at the hands of an unlikely teacher. The spiritual memoir, which combines Millman's life story with fictional elements, became a cult word-of-mouth phenomenon upon its publication in 1980 as part of the then emerging world of Personal Growth literature and has since inspired millions of readers in over 30 languages. In a society polarized by politics and beliefs where both sides chase success at any costs, this film attempts to reach the people left in the middle who are searching for an alternative.

The film will be screening:
Tuesday, May 9th Los Angeles and Seattle
Wednesday, May 10th - Portland
Thursday, May 11th - San Francisco and Phoenix

All shows start at 7 pm except LA and San Fran, which start at 7:30.

Space is limited, so if you're interested in attending, please send an email to peacefulwarrior@joetrippi.com with your name, blog url (if you have one) and MyDD username, and the screening you would like to attend.

We'll send you location details when we receive your email.

Thanks, and hope you're able to make it to the film.
