Francis L. Holland on Radio Pacifica re: DNC State Blogs

Update [2008-6-26 14:38:20 by Manic Lawyer]:: Here is a link for the article and audio interview at Radio Pacifica. Although some readers doubted in comments that the interview had taken place at all, I hope this link removes all doubt.

Today, Francis L. Holland recorded a radio interview with Nathan Moore, National Program Coordinator for Pacifica Radio, from Washington, DC, about the virtually all white state blog corps of the Democratic National Convention, where 53 white state blogs will have their own desks, computers, Internet access on the floor of the Convention, seated among the delegates for the entire Convention, while Black bloggers will receive only 30-45 minute passes for the floor and will have NONE of the amenities on the floor provided to the virtually all-white 55-member state blog pool.

Francis told Pacifica Radio, among other things:

There is nothing "Democratic" about a virtually all-white Democratic National Convention floor blogging corps.

D. Yobachi Boswell of the AfroSpear applied to participated in the state blog corps and was rejected.  Everyone knows D. Yobachi Boswell as the coordinator of the Afrosphere Action Coalition that coordinated the AfroSpear's participation in the 30,000 person Jena Six March on Jena, Louisiana last year.  Yobachi's application to the state blog corps was denied and consequently there will be no 50-state blog representation for the Blacks from Tennessee at all, as well as many other states where Black voter turnout will determine the fate of Barack Obama and down-ticket candidates this fall.  "It's outrageous and it's infuriating," Francis told Radio Pacifica.

If anyone knows where I can listen to this interview, announced but with no link at the Francis L. Holland blog, I'd be much obliged!

Re: HUH?

I thought so too.  But if this is true I'm flabbergasted that FLH could have made it on a credible media source.

Manic Lawyer is Francis Holland

You are Francis Holland! Why do you have such a silly habit of referring to yourself in the third person? You seriously have some personal issues.
You keep quoting yourself as if you are some public personality and you are some average citizen referring to this person.

Geez man. insecure?

I can agree that .....

this is a huge inequity.

Others here seem to have the impression that you are Francis L Holland.  If you are, hello.  You know you used to infuriate me so with your meme of 'stopping the white male lock' on the White House in your diaries and commmentary on dKos, you almost turned me against Hillary simply because you continually used that as the basis of supporting her.  It was never about 'breaking a ceiling' or 'crosssing a barrier' or even 'getting the white guys' out of office for me, it was about the best candidate in my opinion.  I think early works by folks like FLH on dKos turned a lot of stomachs for a lot of reasons.

With all that said, if what you report here is accurate, the DNC has to make some changes quick.  I suppose it's one thing to tell FL and MI Democrats that they are of no matter, but I doubt that the DNC can disrespect AA folks at the convention this time around.

Re: Francis L. Holland

Francis, I googled this.  The only reference to it comes from your blog, which front pages this very thing and the wording sounds exactly like the wording you used here.  Wouldn't you get more attention if you just discussed the issue directly here instead of talking about "Francis Holland" as though he weren't you?  What is the point of that round about way of addressing it?  And where did all of your info about this come from?

Re: Francis L. Holland

I guess if I had clicked on your link above first, I could have saved myself some time, but I still have the same questions.............

Re: Francis L. Holland

Francis Holland does a major disservice to some of the legitimate issues he raises by his weird style of self promotion. It is a major turnoff.

A an unnamed source told me . . .

that on Saturday, June 22, at precisely 2:00 P.M., Nathan Moore called Francis L. Holland at his home in Brazil and they had an appromixately half-hour taped conversation which Atty. Holland believes has appeared or will soon appear on Radio Pacifica.

I believe this source, because this issue has already been reported in the Dallas Morning News, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Washington Post, the LA Times, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Chicago Tribune, and in every case Francis L. Holland or his organization, the AfroSpear, was mentioned as the source of the criticism of the DNC's "Jim Crow" state blogging corps.

But, if you doubt my source, then just e-mail Nathan Moore and ask him for yourself.

Re: A an unnamed source told me . . .

Wow, nutcase alert. What the hell is wrong with you Francis? You have the potential to bring up some really useful information for the MYDD readers and you continue to marginalize yourself with this stubborn reference to Francis Holland as a different person.

I would respect you more if i felt that there was a sense of rebellious humor in this charade. BUt all I see is a deluded person.

Re: Francis L. Holland on Radio Pacifica

Holland is also one of the people who think that Markos is actually a CIA agent.  Seriously.
