No, no, that's an incorrect response. You see, the popular vote argument makes total sense, and you can tell the strength of the argument by the fact that every day Obama's campaign rolls out another superdelegate or two or three.
Because they are totally buying this "popular vote" horseshit.
Sure didn't matter to Ickes or Hillary last year. Before they started losing.
This is such a horseshit, loser argument. If you think you have a strong argument by arguing that the rules Hillary agreed to aren't fair, then call the waaaaahmbulance and hop on the gurney. Because that, my dear friends, is a losing argument.
TexasDarlin is a Taylor Marsh acolyte, and she is beyond critical thinking. Up is down, black is white, etc. etc. Blind support for Hillary, facts be damned. It's the Bush 2004 thing all over, but for Clinton.
Yes, yes, yes. The issue is not about winning Texas, although that would be stunning. The point is to put McCain on defense every single place he goes. If you take it to him in places where he is expected to win, you drain his resources, his time, and you keep him off, er, message.
This is without question the most simple-minded load of nonsense I have ever heard.
Okay, let me set this up for you. You are Hillary. You know that Obama has deep advantages in North Carolina. The Governor has come out for him, 100 mayors. He's been consistently polling ahead there by as much as 37 points. It is Obama's to lose, and he has it handily.
I am your campaign advisor. I tell you that with the right expenditure of campaign funds on ads, I can get you within 5 to 10 points. Maybe closer. You won't win in all likelihood, but you weaken her, you stop calls of momentum, you fight hard here, and you wind up keeping the bleeding to a minimum. And maybe--just maybe--Obama will drop out because he will have been drained of resources on a campaign he was polled at winning by 30+ points.
And I also tell you that you have tens of millions more cash on hand than Obama does. He's in financial trouble.
And I tell you that what it takes to do that is a significant, overwhelming ad buy 9in addition to whistle-tour stops, etc.).
Would you do it?
You bet your ass you would.
Don't give me this crap about "buying the election". That's more goalpost moving.
