court allows casino vote

A federal judge allowed Nevada's Democratic Party to conduct voting to choose a U.S. presidential nominee in casino hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, a decision likely to boost Sen. Barack Obama.

Re: court allows casino vote

Good to see that the courts were able to realize what a joke this lawsuit was. Great news!

Re: court allows casino vote

I just hope the Courts are as likely to uphold the right to vote in November.

My bet

These caucuses could be a problem.

I'm still not sure how easy it will be for the workers to caucus at the resorts.  First, it can take a good 20 minutes to get from one end of one resort to another. If someone from the Treasure Island is suppsed to caucus at the Wynn, for example, good luck in getting there in time. But I also have a question - doesn't it seem un-Democratic that people are voting in the place where they work in an open caucus? I read that Elaine Wynn, the wife of the owner of the Wynn, intends to caucus for Obama. Isn't that a little intimidating, having your boss's wife caucus for a candidate when the ballot is not secret?
