Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

This is hilarious...
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/200 7/06/buffett-update-.html

The Warren Buffett primary is still open for competition.

We reported this week on the Omaha billionaire's $1 million fundraiser Tuesday night for Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, and his $4,600 contribution to her presidential campaign. That's the maximum anyone can give a candidate.

Bill Burton, a spokesman for rival Barack Obama, tells us Buffett will be raising money for Obama soon. He also says Buffett gave $4,600 to the Illinois senator in April. The donation won't show up in public records until second-quarter financial reports are filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Obama's biggest problem is his message. His message is very confusing and unfocused. He's been outfoxed by Edwards on Iraq war. He's trying to blur, not to distinguish himself from Hillary in many areas. If his intention is to cozy up to Buffett, it'll be very difficult for him to slam Clinton era's economic policies including outsourcing, NFTA etc.

This is just the tip of 'Obama confusion', and I'm sure more will come.

I hate to break it to you, but Edwards is also taking a huge chunk of the Wall Street money. Take a look at his first quarter FEC report- he got big money coming in from the hedgefund folks.

All the candidates accept those $2300 checks. But the good thing for Edwards and Obama is that neither of them is accepting lobbyist or PAC money, which Hillary is doing. She has received well over a $1M in lobbyist contributions to her presidential campaign.

Edwards has taken as much big donations

as Obama if you count the percentages of total donations.

Seriously do we want candidates that can compete or do we want losers?

Re: Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

This is simply a hit piece. And a stupid one at that.

Yawn

Clinton is the one desperately trying to insist there is no difference between Obama and herself on Iraq. Bill was the one who said there is no difference in their voting records. I think it must irritate Clinton's people that one of their donors would actually contribute to/fundraise for another candidate.

Buffett endorsed both Obama and Clinton

It is old news that Warren Buffett is supporting both Obama and Clinton, and he said he would do fundraisers for both if asked. He did one for Clinton, and he will do one or more for Obama. Buffett likes them both, and so do I.

Also, Buffett is one of our best Democrats on the economic front, and he in no way screws up Obama's clear message.

Re: Obama: Rupert Murdoch also loves me!

Wait - he only supports Hillary

My mistake.

Are you paying attention?

He has twice as many donors than HRC, and more than twice as many donors contributing $100 or less. What does this tell you? He does not accept money from lobbyists. What does this tell you? When rich Californians try to organize PACs in support of Obama in the primary, he discourages it - what does this tell you? When did HRC turn down money? Anyone?

You seem to be gliding right over the facts in your rush for a conclusion.

Re: Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

First, I think it's understandable that Obama mentions Warren holding a fundraiser for him in the near future.  Warren has endorsed BOTH Obama and Hillary.  Warren fundraised for Hillary and BAM BAM BAM, Diary Diary Diary.  Warren is fundraising for Clinton!  What's Obama going to do?

Simple... Warren is helping Obama too.  I don't think Obama was outfoxed by Edwards on Iraq, and if you think about it Obama has to seperate Bill from Hillary before he can take Hillary down.  Bill Clinton is too loved for him to go after Hillary before he sets the difference between the two.  Most of this is lax weak jabs.  Crappy diary.

Re: Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

Obama's dressdown of Edwards on being 4 1/2 years behind was one of the most defining moments of the two debates so far, so I disagree that Edwards has outfoxed Obama on Iraq.

Re: Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

Edwards has still yet to explain his vote as if merely apologizing is sufficient. He has yet to say what the mistake was and why he made it.

Re: Obama: Warren Buffett also loves me!

Apparently you don't understand how a 2 paragraph blog post for USA Today gets written.

Step 1: When Bill Burton is fielding questions ask one about Buffett.

Step 2: Scratch out a couple notes on your pad.

Step 3: Post.

This isn't a story.  It isn't a big part of the campaigns message.  A reporter asked, aren't you scared of big bad Hillary Clinton, with her Buffett money?  Burton replied, no, we get our own Buffett money thank you.
