How many of you have heard of the Eat The View website?
Well it is a website dedicated growing the awareness and acceptance of Organic Gardening and Farming by asking... well pushing.. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to turn part of the White House lawn into an Organic Garden.
From the Eat The View website:
"Eat the View!" is a campaign to urge the Obamas to replant a large organic Victory Garden on the First Lawn with the produce going to the White House kitchen and to local food pantries.
"Eat the View" is coordinated by Kitchen Gardeners International, a Maine-based 501c3 nonprofit network of 10,000 gardeners from 100 countries who are inspiring and teaching more people to grow some of their own food.
Along with this effort is an effort for We The People to help designate the "White House Farmer". Check out the links and vote.
Who Will Be the First White House Farmer?
The United States has a White House chef . . . and now is the time for a White House Farmer.
Everyone, from your family and friends to our First Family and their guests, needs to know who grew their food and how it was grown.
Much of this was born out of a article in the New York Times.
... Well... in Washington State we have the perfect person for this job (should it ever need filled), her name is Carrie Little. Please take a moment to find out more about Carrie Little, read her story, read the comments and then Please vote for Carrie Anne Little.
I just added a Facebook group for Carrie Little
Please sign this petition to encourage President Obama to bring a "Victory Garden" back to the White House.
KITCHEN GARDENERS INTERNATIONAL wrote and will deliver this petition.
I would like you all to check out the Facebook page for Carrie Little's Mother Earth Farm. There are some great pictures there!
