Letters to the Senators of Florida

The following are letters I sent via email to the Senators of my state, the state of Florida.

Due to the difference in party my letters had minor...umm...color adjustments. Note, I figure as politicians they are not likely to catch my typos or my runon sentences.

Bill Nelson

I am a citizen of the state of Florida and I respectfully ask you to seek the immediate resignation or impeachment of President Bush and all individuals involved in the complete failure that was the response, or lack thereof, to Katrina.  It is abundantly clear that Bush and every level of his administration were not simply slow to respond but were negligent and I believe possibly intentionally slow in their response for reasons I am not in a position to determine.  It is painfully clear with all of the information available that political gamesmanship is afoot.  While that may seem hard to believe even if it isn't true the failing of this administration to respond with even the slightest degree of competence leads me to believe more than ever that this administration must be relieved of command.  It is your responsibility to see that the captain of this ship does not imperil its crew or its mission.  I beg you to respond.  I beg you and other Democrats to find your balls and stand up to this man.  This is the hour that you will have the people at your backs and possibly friends on the other side of the aisle.  By God you had better act!

Mel Martinez

Okay, I know neither will likely help.  And certainly the second one is a bit more iffy.  But I feel good knowing they are out there and that some pleeb might throw them in the junkmail bin.

It can't hurt
and it probably won't help.  But given my complete inability to do anything else but speak on issues here it was all I could do.
