White house and Insurance industry are playing good cop bad cop

Max Baucus and white house want to prove to us that they are not in the pockets of the Insurance industry. Here it is:

A report commissioned by America's Health Insurance Plans alleging that the Senate Finance Committee legislation would cause health care costs to go up faster than under the current system.

According to Chucky Todd this report is a surprise To Baucus and the white house. Yeah right! If anything the timing of this report makes it sound like the brain child of the white house. They want to use it to brow beat public option advocates.

Mr. President prove to us that you have a backbone. We are sick and tired of your teleprompter speeches. Act Now!!

Take a hike.

The "teleprompter" attack was pathetic even during the campaign, and tipped your hand.

"Chucky Todd?"  Really?

Re: Take a hike.
Making empty promises does not make him a progressive. Acting like a Obama sycophant does not make you a progressive either. He is in the pocket of wall street bankers, big pharma and insurance industry.
The only saving grace is that he is not Bush.

'Empty promises'

Acting like a petulant jagoff doesn't make you a useful poster on the internet, either.

You have no proof that Obama is in anybody's pocket, and he's not even ten months into his first term yet.  I'll take the history books' assessment over some shortsighted fool's, thanks.

Re: good cop bad cop

Yeah, I thought about that.  Except that pushing the questionable stat that the Baucus bill will cost the average family 1100 more dollars a year sounds like playing for keeps to me.

And yeah, the 'teleprompter' attack was retarded when it was new, now it's a cliche on top of it.
