According to Obama, Hillary is Winning

The Obama campaign has argued that Super Delegates ought to vote in accordance with the "will" of the people. Really? Then let's run the numbers. Under that metric, who would have a lead in Super Delegates? The Super Delegate total from the states that Hillary has won thus far (including FL and MI) is 418, to Obama's 372. If the MI delegates are split 50/50, Clinton still wins 403.5 to Obama's 386.5. If Super Delegates are counted according to Barack's formula, Hillary wins the nomination. Period.

The numbers are even more impressive after Hillary crushed Obama in West Virginia. WV has 11 Superdelegates. Hillary is now ahead, even if you exclude FL and MI: she leads 374 to Obama's 372.

Re: According to Obama, Hillary is Winning

Why don't you write the superdelegates and let them know?

Re: Hillary SHOULD win

This is one of the strongest arguments for Hillary's candidacy that exists. I could not care less what Obama said about superdelegates because he has changed his position on SDs several times, always picking what he thinks will help him the most.

The real issue is that this way of assigning SD votes -- having them vote the way their state went in the state primary -- makes more sense than any other, IF DEMOCRATS WANT TO WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION.  That's because this would track what will happen in the general election more accurately than anything else the SDs could do.  Even so, it's still biased in Obama's favor because he leads in proportional voting from the non-SD delegates, but not enough that he would be the nominee if the SDs voted according to how their states went.

It's too bad Obamaniacs want him more than they want to win in November.  And that, my friends, is why they do not deserve to win.

Stop.
Please listen to the words of Senator Clinton today:
"I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."

Re: Stop.

Hear hear to this.

We are all on the same side, and all taunting now is going to do is make us waste time that we could be using to focus on McCain to patch up our base.

Re: Stop.

I know Clinton has to say this, so i won't listen to it. I will not support Obama.

Re: Stop.

You must really be proud of your high school diploma.  Don't ever let anyone take that from you.  If I'm ever in your flyover state maybe I'll let you cook me some french fries.

Re: Stop.

How offensive of you to insult highschool graduates. I actually have a university degree, and i don't live in a "fly over" state BUT i don't think i am better than someone who simply graduated from highschool. You are pathetic and sad, I don't want to be part of your "movement", ever.

Re: Stop.

What a great argument. Despite your own candidate telling you that it's doing a grave disservice to the country and party not to support Obama (should he become the nominee), you know that she "has to" say it, and therefore justify not supporting Obama.

And in this case I mean "vote for" for "support". I think it's up to everyone who they support in terms of money and time. If you don't like Obama all that much, don't donate, don't phonebank, don't GOTV, etc. I'm good with that.

But failing to vote for the Democratic nominee for President in 2008 is just plain wrong. And if you don't believe me, believe Hillary.

Re: Stop.

So basically you believe Hillary to be a liar. And you also believe her to be a traitor to her country, if she knowingly supports someone that she doesn't believe should become president.

Re: Stop.

Well, I guess that's one thing on which I disagree with Senator Clinton.

In a Delegate Race

..the "Will of the People" is measured by delegates won. Your argument is another attempt at "If this were the Republican Primary Hillary would be winning".

Hillary does not seem to understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats. That's a problem.

Nice work jfk354. Obama was photographed in MI looking like Dukakis with the tank helmet with his protective goggles.

Yeah, minus the tank and the tank helmet...

Pathetic, durendal.

More creative thinking from The Clinton People. The level of fantasy and chicanary, they resort to is amazing. It's like they've all been sniffing Jet Fuel or something.

Re: According to Obama, Hillary is Winning

"The Super Delegate total from the states that Hillary has won thus far (including FL and MI) is 418, to Obama's 372"

Um, question: Do you realize that this tiny difference of 46 superdelegates isn't enough to take the nomination away from Obama, since he's ahead (in pledged delegates) by far more than that?

Without Michigan and Florida he's ahead by 154 PLEDGED delegates.

For Hillary to win according to your formula she needs have atleast that number superdelegates in difference.

Re: According to Obama, Hillary is Winning

If we got down to the county level, I think Hillary's totals would be even higher.  She's won a lot more counties than he did.

Maybe but different counties have different pledged delegates. I usually depends on past voting patterns.

Obama is waking up

and realizing Hillary will be the better president! He so needs more experience and I believe he's self-sabotaging himself because deep down, he doesn't want this as bad as Michelle and his supporters want it for him.

100,000 votes..

Thats some BIG lead.. NOT.

Its obvious to me that something is very wrong when the MSM insists someone has won who has not, in reality, won, by a long shot.

It begs the question, why are they SO desperate to have Obama win?
