Obama wins NC and IN [updated]

This isn't much of a diary, but the AP is calling Indiana, and Obama his ahead in NC by about 20,000 with 100% of North Carolina reporting.

Missouri is possible, but a longshot.  Nevertheless, that puts the final tally of at least 364 electoral votes - that's a landslide, folks.  These are Bill Clinton numbers.

*UPDATE* per 583, Obama just picked off Nebraska's second Congressional district. 365 electoral votes and counting.

And now Fox is calling Indiana.

Cmon, MyDD.  You don't want to be behind FOX, do you?

Re: Obama wins NC and IN

Obama is down only 398 votes in Missouri, with 99% of precincts reporting.

Indiana surprises me. I never thought Obama could pull that out, unless his national margin was 8+. It doesn't look like he'll get that.

What about Georgia?

That's still an open question.  Apparently the networks called it too early, not realizing that there were perhaps millions of uncounted early votes still to be accounted for.  AP reported about it, TPM and DK have it.

Re: What about Georgia?

Good point.  Great chance the Chambliss numbers dip below 50%.

Re: Obama wins NC and IN [updated]

I had my doubts about Obama winning NC.  But boy oh boy he did it.  This is still a very rural state with a lot of dead red voters, but with the new voters, and a continued influx of voters from purple and blue states to the north, I think NC will remain a battleground, much like Virginia, in future elections.
