Numerically, can she still beat Obama?

IF not? then why is Mark Penn saying this?

According to NBC's Andrea Mitchell and Newsweek's Howard Fineman, there's a divide inside the campaign about how negative to go. On one side is Mark Penn, who is ready to go all out (and who comes from the Bill Clinton school that there is no tomorrow, fight today); on the other is Mandy Grunwald and Howard Wolfson, who are worried about Clinton's legacy. After all, there has to be a point where Clinton says to herself, "there might be a next time." Isn't it possible Obama blows this as the nominee? And if so, who's going to be asked to pick up the pieces in 2009?
Does he want to destroy the Dem Party?

Perhaps if it was done earlier before Super Tuesday then it is okay to do negative campaigning.  But at this late stage with the GOP already having a winner and hitting Obama now--what benefit will it do but decrease Dems chances to win WH.

Mark Penn is a plant if he wants to destroy Obama at this late stage with no benefit to Clinton---since numerically she will be unable to win the nomination.

Does she still have a path to win pledge delegates?

And Hillary is a good sell/product.

It is the campaign that has been incompetent.

If they knew that Obama has a 50 state strategy, why did they not outdo him.

I blame Mark Penn for losing this one.  They are just wealth campaign operatives out for the buck and out of touch with people.

If I were obama I would do it in one of his rallies to stop this nonsense.  I have been hearing about this and this is wrong.

And I am a Hillary supporter.

    But where is Hillary?

Hillary's campaign has a lot of incompetence.  Obama strataegically advertises in the internet---TPM and when you click on it ---it shows sign up sheet so that they can invite you for events.  Also, their site will show events that is happening--so that it makes people know where to go and drive attendance upwards.

This is why Obama is winning--Great Organization.

  • Which is really a bad thing for Barack.  Because people will see his speeches in a different light.

That is very mild.  Wait until you get to the General with the GOP attack dogs.

Remember -- they use Kerry's Vietnam experience against him -- and use lies too.

So what Obama is getting from Hillary is too mild.

Nothing like Dean got from Democrats.

If only she wanted this so badly that she will vet Obama the way the GOP willl vet him.

But she doesnt.  And thus I feel Obama is set for a letdown when he wins.

Too late now for vetting though.

Does it concern you that Hillary won Democrats by 630,000+ and won most swing states.

But Obama wins the red states and Republicans and Independents.

I hear countless of stories that Republicans are voting for Obama for many reasons--they like Obama, they dont like Hillary but are planning to vote for the Republican candidate come November.

The demographics of who voted for Obama is the same as the one who voted for Lieberman in CT.

  • the way the Right would do.  At least if she did it --- then he still won,  then he is electable.

and do what Clinton team refuses to do.

I always thought Clinton was a fighter--but I guess not.  She is just too nice to win at all cost.

The problem with Hillary --Loyalty trumps competence.

She should have rid her staff after NH or S Carolina.

  • 50 State Strategy.

Clinton campaign was old style politics.  Focusing only on few states and high priced consultants.

From now on,  I hope--all candidates and Dems -- do grassroot strategy.

I also hope that the grassroot campaign of Obama will continue to be in place and that he bequeth it to the DNC and Dem Party for future nurturing and GOTV.

But in General they will vote for the Republicans.  They said they like Obama but they are Republicans.
