    "He voted for W twice"

Actually, he never voted for W - he's not a US citizen. And in 2004, he supported Kerry albeit as the lesser of two evils.

This is all about McCain and even Sully emphasizes that. The whole "story" about which Palin family members may or may not have given or about to give birth to other family members is silly. Palin has other far more serious problems - she is lawyering up for troopergate and now her ties to an Alaskan secessionist group are getting scrutinized. These latter two problems speak to her suitability to be VP: we don't need another power-abusing VP nor do we need one who supports the breakup of the country.

What's appalling is that the McSame camp did little in the way of vetting a virtual unknown. They have no business anywhere near the reigns of power.

  • Good for Wes Clark! After Edwards dropped out I supported and voted for Obama but Gen. Clark's endorsement of Hillary Clinton certainly gave me pause. I still would like to see him as Obama's VP. Others have said this dust-up has taken him out of the running. I'm not so sure: he's determined, tough and would be a great help in ensuring a successful draw-down in Iraq.

  • McCain has called his wife a trollop and c##t and just raised several hundred thousand in a fundraiser held by a Rethug who is best known for publicly joking about rape: http://tinyurl.com/5djqot . Of course, McSame as Bush wants to overturn Roe and he's a well-known homohater. Any Clinton supporter who votes for that vile old man is an fool.

sabotaged Bill Clinton's effort to allow gays to serve openly in the military. He'd have to crawl on hands and knees over broken glass begging for forgiveness for me to ever consider voting for him. Oh, and he'd have to don assless leather chaps and march in the San Francisco gay pride parade!

for a great speech. I was glad to hear her mention the "gay" word twice. Obama needs to use her extensively in his campaign. Otherwise, the Rethugs and their media minions could have some success in encouraging continued party division. I'm not sure about the VP slot - I'll leave that up to Obama's good judgment. I know a lot of people poo-poo the idea of her on the SCOTUS but I think she'd be great there.

anti-Clinton diary on the rec list and if you read the comments, many are questioning the diary's claims and sourcing. Plus there's a lengthy very positive front page Clinton diary by DemFromCT. The kos diary you appear to be complaining about is a push-back on the continuing "popular vote" claims by Clinton surrogates. That's a pet peeve of kos and I can't say I blame him for pushing back since it happened to be Dianne Feinstein who brought it up this time.

  • You have to understand that homohaters would prefer that gay people like me did not exist. While most of them - at least in this country - are unwilling to actually proceed to the next logical step of actually exterminating us, the next best thing is to try to keep us invisible and failing that, to maintain gay people in permanent second class citizenship. That's why it's not only same-sex marriage that they oppose but any legal recognition whatsoever of our relationships.

Nunn's a homohater who was instrumental in scuttling Clinton's lifting the ban on Gays serving openly in the military. I support Obama but I'll vote third party if Nunn's on the ticket.

I heard about this on KPHX radio (Phoenix Nova-M) today. Jeff Farias was on top of it. This is a real embarrassment in McSame's own hometown! Maybe they were afraid of Bush catching a glimpse of KPHX's billboards that are all over town right now:

-and look who the billboard owner is. heh-heh.

It's not just the uncommitted SD's who are fed up:
    from http://ruralvotes.com/thefield/?p=1258

"The Field has learned that Cardoza is the first of a group of at least 40 Clinton delegates, many of them from California, that through talking among themselves came to a joint decision that all of them would vote for Obama at the convention. They have informed Senator Clinton that it's time to unite around Obama..."

  • And don't think for a minute that there wouldn't be an effort by the Rethugs to stoke the fires of "illegitimacy." While it is within the power of the SD's to reverse the elected delegate decision, there'd be hell to pay for doing so. Frankly, I'm not sure Clinton supporters understand that.

  • Yes, there will be a counter-protest. It will start in Cesar Chavez Plaza. See http://www.1480kphx.com/DynamoSite.php If the protest is big enough, it should make the news and hopefully embarrass McSame by tying him even closer to Bush.
