26. Yes, you can - Give to the DNC's Victory Fund

Even if you have "maxed out" to the Obama campaign, individuals are still allowed to give up to $28,500 to the DNC's Victory Fund.  Of course, restrictions apply such as no donations are allowed from federal lobbyists.  There is a lot of fine print you should review before you donate.  The lunch with Sen. Obama listed above is a great event to support.  If you are confused about the limit or what you can donate, contact Howard Park at hpark4@aol.com and he will put you in touch with a finance staff person.

27. DC for Obama Needs Volunteers to Coordinate Phone Banks

We need people who are comfortable volunteering to run phone banks in DC calling out to voters in key states.  Several people are willing to donate space but we have a shortage of people interested in running a phone bank, or two, or three.  This is not a job with a lot of glitz, but it can help make a difference.  Some people are comfortable working at home & online with phone calls -- great!  For others, the phone bank option is one thing we should be doing.  Please contact Kim Morton kim4dst@gmail.com or Howard Park hpark4@aol.com if you can COMMIT to helping to run a phone bank at least once or twice a week.  This is a volunteer job -- all of us at DC For Obama are volunteers.

We apologize if we missed your event.  Listed above is really just a few of the many Obama activities coming up within the next few days in greater DC.  There is no excuse for not getting involved -- the election is coming up in less than 93 days!  For more info go to www.barackobama.com & www.dcforobama.com.
