1. $50 Fundraiser with Sen. Hillary Clinton, Tue., Sept. 4
On Tuesday, September 4th, Young Professionals for Hillary and "Hillblazers" are hosting a Special Happy Hour with Senator Hillary Clinton at Ibiza, 1222 First St., NE from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Mingle with your fellow Clinton supporters and spend some time with the next President of the United States! Tickets start at $50 per person. There will be "surprise celebrity entertainment" at 6:30 PM. 2. DC for Democracy Meetup, Sept. 5
DC for Democracy is DC's largest progressive political group and works on both local and national issues, especially DC voting rights & stopping the war. DCFD meets the first Wednesday of every month at the historic & delicious Ben's Chili Bowl, 1210 U St., NW, at 7:00 PM. Come grab a bite and meet the active group with DC for Democracy on Sept. 5. DC for Democracy is the local chapter of Democracy for America, founded by Howard Dean.
3. DC for Obama Meetup on Sept. 12 on Capitol Hill
Sept. 12th will be DC for Obama's monthly meetup/happy hour at the Hawk & Dove on Capitol Hill at 329 Pennsylvania Ave., SE near the Capitol South & Eastern Market Metro stations. 4. Travel to NH & SC to Support Barack Obama, Weekend of Sept. 28 & Oct. 5

b.) We are organizing groups to travel, probably to South Carolina the weekend of Sept. 28 and probably to New Hampshire the weekend of October 5. Save the dates. More details later. 6. Obama Campaign Needs Volunteers in DC
Our campaign office in DC at 236 Massachusetts Ave., NE, (near Union Station) is about to enter a critical two-week stretch. We need volunteers for two of our most important projects. First, we need volunteers to come to our office and make fundraising phone calls this week. We are also seeking volunteers to help distribute flyers next week (starting September 4th). We need people to sign up for many time slots. We encourage you to sign up for multiple slots if your schedule allows. If you sign up to make phone calls, you should be comfortable persuading people over the phone. If you might be able to volunteer for the Obama Campaign please contact Ravi Gupta email@example.com.

9. September 18 Obama Rally in DC
Obama for America will be holding a large rally in Washington DC on Tuesday, September 18. Tickets for this fundraiser are a reasonable $25 and $15 for students, which is much less than the $100 fundraisers that have been taking place in the area. If you have been looking for an affordable fundraising event to attend with the Senator, this is the one. Don't stop at purchasing a ticket for yourself. Spread the word among your friends and colleagues. This is one event that Obama supporters will not want to miss. Experience firsthand the excitement that you've been reading about in the newspapers!
10. Lawyers for Obama Fundraising Breakfast Sept. 19
Attend this special breakfast with Senator Obama on Wednesday, September 19, starting at 8:15 AM at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre, 641 D Street, NW. It's a unique opportunity to meet the Senator and hear him speak in an intimate setting. It is a high-dollar event, but associates can attend for $500.
