This healthcare reform is a MESS!!!
More reasons to look for another candidate to replace Obama in 2012.
    1. This whole thing is screwed up due to his inept leadership (or lack of any leadership).
    2. A good chance that the Republicraps will take over Congress in 2010 or 2012. A very good chance that he will be easily beaten by a strong GOP candidate.
    3. I am suspicious of why it was that Rahm Emanuell and Obama went down this road and took on the insurance lobby EXACTLY the way that Hillary did in 1994. Why would anyone go down the same path to failure unless they were going to get rich....
I will be direct--Obama and Emanuell  knew that the insurance lobby would fork out easily over $1 Billion to defeat any reform--maybe Rahm wanted to share in that pie--a good bet that when he and Obama are beaten in 2012, that he won't worry--his Tel Aviv bank account will be full of lobbyist money over this -- of course, the uninsured here will not have any coverage either....or he will wind up as a spokesperson for the insurance companies just like his Congressional Buddy Billy Tazin did a few years ago.   The sad thing is that this is the last chance for uninsured to get coverage.  In a few years, over 100 million people will not be covered.

You should be the one who is getting a serious pucker factor--today the Republicraps endorsed this move. Do you realize that this is the same thing that tanked Bush and the GOP -- first in the Congress of 2006 elections and then in 2008 with his election.
Harry Truman--Korea. Mr. Truman could have run for president as many times as he wanted ( he was grandfathered by the 2 term limits) but got crushed in the polls in 1951 with the Korea debacle/stalemate.

Lyndon Johnson--Viet Nam -- Ditto-- he was getting hammered in 1968 over the stalemate. He almost lost Congress to the GOP. People were so pissed they ushered in Reagan as Governor of California.

George Bush--Irag/Afghanistan--Ditto--he did lose the Congress in 2006 and got the GOP crushed in 2008.

    B. Obama--Afghanistan -- 2010--We get hammered in Congress elections by the same Republicans who came out today in support of Obama--in 2012 we lose the Presidency as this idiot war drags on....
This is terrible. Why do we need to fight in all these basket case sorry ass countries--DO YOU WONDER WHY NO OTHER COUNTRY IS IN THERE?

  • comment on a post Obama OK's Afghanistan surge over 4 years ago

    THIS IS REALLY CRAZY:

The "Change" candidate has morphed into George W. Bush. This troop surge in this basket case no account country  spells the beginning of the end of all the hard work we did in 2006 and 2008 in rebuilding the Democratic majority. There goes our majorities in Congress and in Governorships. After 2010, the Republicraps will "BE BACK".
I have had it with Obama.

HOWARD DEAN in 2012 anyone, maybe we can save the Presidency from this conman.

Obama is looking like a Jimmy Carter Clone. Sorry folks but even Prez Carter had more command of events that does Obama. Its seems that everything here is out of control and he is off touring another country. Does he know something that we don't? Let's review his progress to date:
    1. Elected by campaigning on a platform of change-
RESULT: he then recruits a bunch of ex-Clinton greybeards to run the government from top to bottom. Didn't he have anyone in mind of his own?
    2. When Obama campaigned in 2008 he continually reminds us that his support comes from "the little guy donating $5.00 to him". If you check this out you find that much of that is true but what happens to the "little guys" -- they are the first to get dumped by Obama....
RESULT:  The first groups he goes out to help are die-hard Republican constituents i.e. Bankers and Car Dealers & Auto Company executives--these guys NEVER EVER would vote for him come hell or high water. They really do hate him still after he saved their butts. They are pouring money into Congressional money to defeat any chance of regulation of financial markets.
    3. Obama is one of the greatest campaigners but inept politician's that I have ever witnessed. Consider the HEALTHCARE REFORM fiasco that he is now embroiled in---it could very well doom any chance ever of having a Universal Healthcare System in the United States. That is totally Obama's fault.
RESULT: Why didn't Obama ask Hilliary for advice on the healthcare law--she is the most experienced person in the world to fight the Republicans on healthcare--she is smart enough to know how to beat them in 2009 after they beat her in 1994 on the issue. But now its totally screwed up. Obama is a very dumb politican --- a smart politican would have NEVER taken on an entrenched industry like the Healthcare Insurance companies who have millions to spend on members of Congress and lobbyists.
RESULT: Obama almost acts like he doesn't care if the healthcare bill fails now.
IN SUMMARY: Obama is a great campaigner who faces a disorganized Republican Party in 2012 -- they don't seem to be a problem to him. WHAT OBAMA MIGHT CONSIDER IS THE FATE OF JIMMY CARTER IN 1980 WHEN LIBERAL DEMOCRATS DECIDED TO BACK TED KENNEDY FOR PRESIDENT. WHEN TED DROPPED OUT MANY LIBERAL DEMOCRATS STAYED HOME OR VOTED FOR REAGAN WHO BEAT CARTER EASILY. OBAMA MAY NOT KNOW IT YET BUT HE CAN BE BEATEN BY A "REAL" LIBERAL CANDIDATE WHO CHOSES TO RUN.
QUESTION: "DIDN'T HILLIARY BEAT OBAMA IN EVERY MAJOR STATE I.E. NY, TEXAS, CALIFORNIA" MAYBE SHE WILL DECIDE TO GIVE IT A TRY AGAIN IN 2012.
  • You don't seem to understand where Joe Lieberman's weakness lies. He agreed with the Democratic Caucus in January to go along with the party in exchange for Harry Reid allowing him to keep his committee Chairman ship. Here is what you don't understand so I will fill you in:
A chairman is a powerful position. When the Dems took over in 2006, by long standing custom, they got the chair positions for all the big committee's in Congress. I told another of my Democrat friend the morning after the 2006 elections that WE HAVE WON A HUGE VICTORY--WHY? he asked: BECAUSE THE COMMITTEE'S IN CONGRESS WILL BE RUN BY DEMOCRATS STARTING IN 2007. THAT MEANT THAT NO MORE WHACK JOB BUSH PROGRAMS OR POLITICAL APPOINTEE'S WOULD GET THRU EITHER HOUSE OR THE SENATE--BECAUSE THE CHAIRPERSONS WOULD NOT ALLOW THE REPUBLICAN'S TO PUSH THRU A WHACK JOB PERSON FOR A FEDERAL JUDGE JOB OR FOR MONEY FOR SOME WILD ASS SCHEME TO INVADE A COUNTRY LIKE THEY DID IN 2003 IN IRAQ.
NOW, GETTING BACK TO HERR LIEBERMANN AND HIS DISLOYAL CONDUCT ON THIS PUBLIC OPTION ISSUE--THE DEMS CAN TAKE AWAY HIS CHAIRMAN JOB. IT MEANS THAT HE WILL BE RELEGATED TO THE LOWEST LEVEL OF MEMBER OF THE SENATE. HE WOULD BE JUST LIKE AN SENATOR WHO HAS NO POWER, NO STAFF, NO SPECIAL PARKING AT THE CAPITAL, NO BUDGET FOR MUCH OF ANYTHING. EVEN IF THE REPUBLICAN'S TRIED TO MAKE NICE AND TAKE HIM INTO THEIR CAUCUS, IT WOULD NOT MATTER SINCE THE DEMOCRATS CONTROL ALL ACTIONS IN CONGRESS.
HARRY REID NEEDS TO INVITE JOE OUT TO THE WOODSHED FOR A SERIOUS ASS KICKING DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS MATTER AND HE NEEDS TO DO IT NOW.
  • comment on a post NBC/WSJ Poll: Support for Public Option Growing over 4 years ago

S0 WHAT'S THIS IS JOE LIEBERMAN?  HARRY REID NEEDS TO TAKE THAT GUY TO THE WOODSHED TODAY AND THRASH OUT HERR LIEING-BER-MAN'S POSITION TODAY (TUESDAY)ON THE PUBLIC OPTION--HE CAME OUT TODAY AND SAID HE IS AGAINST IT -- CRAZY JOE NOW SAYS HE IS AGAINST THE PUBLIC OPTION. HARRY REID NEEDS TO KICK LIEBERMAN'S ASS AND REMIND HIM THAT ONLY BY THE THINNEST OF MARGINS IN THE DEMOCRAT CAUCUS DID LIEBERMAN KEEP HIS COMMITTEE CHAIRMANSHIP BACK IN JANUARY. LIEBERMAN SHOULD BE REMINDED THAT THE DEMOCRATS DON'T NEED HIM IN THAT CHAIRMAN ROLE AND IF HE DOESN'T AGREE TO BACK THE PUBLIC OPTION, THE DEM CAUCUS WILL KICK HIM OUT OF THE CHAIR AND GIVE IT TO A LOYAL DEMOCRAT...SCREW THAT GUY FOR BEING SO DISLOYAL TO THE DEMOCRATS WHO HAVE ALLOWED HIM TO KEEP HIS POWERFUL COMMITTEE POST.....

  • Talk about the party of HYPOCRITES--they should change their name to the Grand Ole Cowards!!!
Here is what happens with these jerks--they vote as a group against any recovery or stimulus package that Obama / The Democrats put out to try to stem this fast coming Depression. In Houston the day after the Repugnants voted enmasse against the stimulus--Republican House member Kevin Brady from Houston who voted against the bill actually went on TV/Newspapers and crowed about the fact that according to him Texas would get over $800 MILLION Dollars from the stimulus package that the Democrats and Obama had passed.  Talk about a class A JERKOFF--he epitomizes the typical Republican--he knows that the stimulus is going to benefit him but votes against it.  The whole Republican party has become lower than street walking Whores in our society. It started when War mongering Republicans many years ago started dodging the draft and any military obligations. They like war if other people are willing to fight it.and they like to brag that they don't vote to spend money but like to spend that money by the Billions.
  • comment on a post Teddy Kennedy Doing OK over 5 years ago

HA! Can you believe that A*shole Coryn would object to Sen Clinton because of (GET THIS--fund raising). This is the guy that every major media in Texas has long recognized as the biggest crook on the prairie. When he was on the Texas Supreme Court, he took in more contributions than a local Wal-Mart. He is a Slumdog Millionaire Republican...He even took in more cash than Phil Gramm or Ted Stevens. If he wasn't from Bush's home state he would certainly have a few investigations going on. But now that Obama has a new team maybe they should start looking at this jerk's offshore bank accounts....

Normally the editors here at mydd.com are spot on in their ability to cut thru the fog of the Bush spin but in this case this is way off the mark. As in most things, Bush doesn't give a rats ear about Mexico or its citizens (his view on US citizens is the same of course).  The author of this piece fails to inform us of Bush's close family business ties to Mexico. His brother is a big business wheeler dealer down there assumedly in the oil/gas business. However, the Bush's are "always about the money". Why do you suppose that Bush is sending $400 million to Mexico--don't think for a minute that his brother and their business associates will skim off millions of dollars. For example, over 1/2 the money is for soft projects. I don't mind money for upgrading radios, police equipment, etc. which can be inventoried and accounted for but over $200 million is for "training, intelligence gathering, spending on citizen education (as if the Mexican government ever spent any of its rich citizens money on education of any kind). This is an area that we all know is easy to skim money and for the corrupt business interests in Mexico will get our millions of our tax dollars. Don't be fooled--Bush's business friends are salviating over the prospect of getting their hands on that money.
Just as in Iraq where billions of dollars have gone into dead-end projects, training, propaganda where there is no accountablity, this Mexican deal is a dream come true for Bush and his crime syndicate.
A realistic assessment of this thing will provide the same conclusion about everything Bush does. For example:
    1. Bush spends hundreds of billions of our dollars on 'homeland' security but leaves our 1200 mile long border completely open to Mexico since 9/11.
    2. Bush pushes Congress into passing FISA which allows him and his hencemen to listen in on our cellphones (aided by ATT and Verison of course) but at the same time millions of the prepaid untraceable cell phones are sold each year.
This is just another Bush crime family steal.

I don't mean to be disrespectful of your brother-in-law but did he vote for Bush in 2000 or 2004 or does he drive a foreign made car. Please don't take this personally but I know a bunch of union guys in my construction local who voted for Bush and who drive Jap cars. I sometimes go to the Union hall or meetings and I cannot help but put it on them about this--why are they bitching about being out of a job when they voted for Bush and his exporting of jobs? In a way I cannot be sorry for these guys.

  • on a comment on Talking Politics over 5 years ago

    WOW--YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO RIGHT ON.

If Obama keeps up this Happy Days crap with the Repulsives he is going down the wrong road and will likely lose many seats in Congress in the midterm of 2010. That's because no one wants these guys around anymore but if Obama resurrects them he is walking on very thin ice. He should be in Georgia pushing for the election of Martin over Chambliss. Here in Texas we lost a Democrat House seat of a very good guy Nick Lampson. Obama should have realized that he would sweep McCain by mid-October and come into places like Lampson's district to help him. I think someone is giving him some flawed advice about being nice to Repulsives-they should be stomped out of business not included. Just like you said there are no nice Republicans anymore. Guys like Colin Powell should be put on the spot--either join up as a Democrat or sit down and shut up. We all know that the psychos who have run the Republicans since 1980 do not allow any debate--they demand that you be a right-wing, race baiting, openborder, union busting, immigrant importing, corrupt person or you don't get in their party. Obama should not do business with any Repub who has joined this culture of madness over the last 20 years.
I keep thinking that the next person Obama will nominate will be Tom Delay for Secretary of Defense-OMG!!!!! STOP NOW MR. OBAMA--these guys are POISON.

I had a similar experience. My eldest son (CH) and his wife have T-Giving dinner every year at their house. My son is lefty-center but stays away from politics because his wife's family is very old-school Republican (i.e.--they are good people and don't think or say much about politics). But I am respectful of my son's in-laws so I don't ever talk about politics with them. It's bad form to get into politics as a guest anyway. But on T-Giving evening about 12 of us were eating at the main dining table. My youngest son (BH) and his girlfriend were being toasted since they just got engaged. All of sudden a new member of the group started up the Rush Limbaugh line of ultraconservative crap about Obama not being able to get a Secret clearance from the FBI--only a Rush Dittohead would believe that sh*t. BH's new fiance is from NYC and she isn't used to REDNECK logic. I knew I should put this guy on notice that he was out of line. I worked in Intel in the Army and I worked at NASA. Both jobs require an FBI check. I told the Redneck he was full of it--"Where did you come up with that one?" I asked him. He told me "I spoke with an FBI agent and he told me." said the Redneck. At that I blew a cork. "You are making this up. For one thing, Obama is fine as far as his clearances go--he had to FBI clearance when he entered Congress and the Senate",I told this guy. I told him that his guy lost and he should get over it. It's Obama for the next 4 years at least--but its Rush and Hannity that keeps these guys stirred up unfortunately with their lies and misinformation.
HERE IS MY ADVICE--FIND OUT WHICH COMPANIES ADVERTISE ON RUSH AND HANNITY AND CALL THEM UP AND RAISE THE ISSUE THAT DEMOCRATS ARE CUSTOMERS TOO AND ITS TIME TO PUT RUSH/HANNITY OUT OF BUSINESS--THE ELECTION IS OVER-THEY LOST--WHY KEEP UP THE NOISE.....
  • Is Arianna a Neocon...I did not know that (I'm not being sarcastic).....thanks for any info you can give me. Matthews runs hot and cold...he does what his masters at GE_NBC tell him to do. This year they decided to be in the groove for Democrats (go figure -- GE has lost so much market cap they are ready to do business with their eternal enemy the Democrats). But remember in 2004 how prissy that guy was toward John Kerry. But if GE_NBC paid me $5 million a year like he gets, I would say any f*cking thing that they wanted me to say....

I just watched that video on the You Tube link. This is macabre thought but suppose the same Viet Cong were to pitch a hand grenade into that room (like the one that got Max Cleland). I am sure that to save his own skin Saxby would definitely pitch that kid next to him on top of it --- he has no morality, shame, or pride --what a class A j*rk.

If you line up sleezy politicans--Saxby would be right in the front. I know of no one outside of Georgia except for Bush (who isn't campaigning for him either) who isn't disgusted by this giant sack of sh*t.  This guy would sell out his grandmother for a sack of weeds. I don't even like to read about this guy.
