NAACP HURRICANE KATRINA DISASTER RELIEF

The National NAACP has opened a Command Center for Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  New Orleans Branch President, Danatus King is commanding the center.

President King is seeking information from all individuals, employees, employers and contractors affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Individuals and employees are asked to call the command center at 225-214-7804.  Jobs, services, grants and aide are available through the NAACP command center.

Employers are asked to call the command center at 225-214-7804.  Employees, services, grants and aide are available through the NAACP command center.

Contractors are asked to fax the command center at 225-214-7801 and identify their field of work, licenses, insurance limits and bonding capacity.  Assistance with bid process for disaster relief work is available through the NAACP command center.

The National NAACP Command Center for Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief, located at 1002 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

NAACP members and officers who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina are asked to contact the command center at 225-214-7804.
