They were going to cut off the head of a man in Afghanistan for becoming a Christian.  The clerics who speak for their religion agreed unanimously that he should die!

In St. Augustine, Florida several centuries ago a group of Spaniards did the same thing to a large group of their captives because they wouldn't convert to Catholicism.  They named a river because of all the blood that flowed that day.

As that famous philosopher, Jerry Seinfeld said: AND YADA YADA YADA!

It's enough to make a person think, isn't it?  Centuries and centuries of death in the name of religion and we're still doing it.  As long as there have been men they have killed each other because of ridiculous ritual beliefs written by someone other centuries ago.  My cousin had a word for such things:  RIF*@#KINGDICULOUS!

I always liked that word.  I think she invented it.

Anyway, back to those ludicrous clerics and those rif*@#kingdiculous Spaniards.  Here's the thing...  Anyone want to guess what will happen to that man in Afghanistan now?  It doesn't take a genius.

After this comes true, you can all call me a psychic.  There are two ways it can go.  He can leave jail and go to his house where there will be Muslims waiting with a knife to carry out the sentence of the clerics.  Or one of OUR religious nutcakes like Jerry Fallwell or Pat Robertson can spend a few hundred thousand bucks to buy him a house here in America and support him for the rest of his life.  Then they can put his face on their networks and talk about how brave he was to face death for Jesus which should bring them millions in donations.  Kind of a win/win situation except for the fact that we have Muslims here in America who will want to  get this guy too.  Oh, and you can bet "Georgie" will want to shake the good Christian's hand at some point.

As another famous and hilarious philosopher, Don Imus, says:  PRAISE JESUS!

Oh, he may survive like Salman Rushdie has for all these years since his death sentence was ordered by Khomeini.   But he will remain a marked man because he wanted to switch from one rif*@#kindiculous cult to another.

Doesn't all this crap make you want to draw a cartoon?

By the way...  It's probably not a good time to be the Bush family pet who they crowned "President" of Afghanistan.  Mr. Karzai  may die for caving to the pressure from "Georgie's" administration.  Just another psychic image.

   What a world.

Reminds me of the old joke again....  I thank GOD every day I'm an atheist!

I believe it was Elaine Benis who first coined the phrase "yada yada yada".

To quote a true philosopher John Lennen,

Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today, You may say Im a dreamer, but Im not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one.

Come right down to it, the Christians track record is no better than the Muslims... even worse if you count the Middle Ages when organized religion ran the world and everyone was insane. The hypocracy of both groups is overwhelming. The idea that God would approve of crashing airliners into buildings... Right wing Christian terrorists bombing abortion clinics and murdering Doctors that perform abortions... in the name of the Lord, of course. Thinking of my earlier statement about the Middle Ages when organized religion ran the world and everyone was insane... look how far we've progressed in only 700 years.
