Hopefully your candidate will have more courage of her convictions, but so far I haven't seen them.

This is where you are wrong this is the type of thing that goes on in homes all across America, people vote on their feelings about a person for the most part. Why? Because most politicians promise what they cannot deliver to get elected and so people have learned to not listen to the promises, but go with how the person makes them feel. It is not just this way in politics but in any people oriented field; whether it is your doctor, lawyer, or insurance man...

It is exactly these types of attitudes that remind me of why I wrote my diary. You Hillary supporters are just like your candidate, everything is always a right-wing conspiracy.

You are the same people who have sent the dems to defeat over and over again. Instead of sending the best candidate you insist on the most pc candidate. Those polls are garbage, people will say what they think they are suppose to say to those pollsters, but when they are in the booth it is a totally different story.

I am so glad this is the direct democracy site. I can feel the love...

How can you say my feelings are gross mis characterizations, because they don't match yours. I wouldn't care if 99% of the people thought Hillary was the second coming. These are my, yes my feelings and if they cause you to come so unglued maybe you're not as solid as you think...

I don't think so. If you guys want to act like this is some sort of progressive site, but whoa to anyone who touches our sacred cow, then maybe you need to look at yourselves. Many people vote based on their feelings, not polls or any of that other crap you guys are spewing.

It's funny how you are the same people who throw stones at Rove and his ilk, but let someone share their concerns and see how you respond.

    You guys are a trip...

I don't hate Hillary, I don't personally know the woman. I just have my concerns and I'm sorry I thought this was America where we have political discussion about our concerns. I didn't mean to touch the sacred cow, forgive me.

I will be catching the next flight to China...

While I appreciate your enthusiasm, your facts are wrong.

Number 1 - I am not psychoanalyzing anyone. I am merely giving my opinion. I don't listen to the talking heads on TV whether they be liberal or conservative, so I have no idea what Bay Buchanan has said.

Number 2 - Every poll I have seen has her unfavorable ratings at around 40% of all voters, not just conservatives and republicans. So I guess I am not the only one with this opinion. That is a very large number of core voters that would not vote for her no matter what, this is a problem.

It is exactly this type of thinking that allows the carnage to continue. People in power can ignore bumper stickers and all your little indignities, they have for almost 5 years. Have we become so jaded and cynical that we have given up before the battle even starts?

  • on a comment on Taking It to the Streets over 7 years ago

This is about shutting down the wheels that fuel this and all the other atrocities. If it weren't for protests we would still be in Vietnam, Blacks would still not be able to vote or eat in a restaurant, and if it weren't for protests women would not be voting. No sir protests work, sadly it is we who have stopped working...

There is just one small problem, no candidate has won the presidency in recent history without the South. Neither Obama or Hillary can carry a southern state. There is really only one candidate if the Dems want to win and that is John Edwards. Make no mistake polls are just that and when people get in those booths all of that feel good message and making history goes out the window. Neither of those candidates are electable and you can't govern, if you don't win.

Or we could get behind these politicians to pass real campaign reform and not accept anything less. These numbers already for an election over a year away are astounding. And noone will owe anyone anything...Yeah sure; where was that beachfront property in Arizona again?
