Replace Obama with Hillary while he's in Hawaii

The Obama campaign is having Michelle replace him on the campaign trail. I think Clinton would be a better choice, and she's been great for Obama so far. Let Michelle do her own thing - having Clinton "replace Obama" on the trail would be much more symbolically powerful.

Thoughts? I don't know what else to add.....

Hillary has done a wonderful job campaigning

No need to pressure her to do more.

Re: Replace Obama with Hillary

I had the same thought.  The campaign should use them both at the same events.  Michelle Obama could go through her stump speech, confess that she was new to this and needed help from a seasoned and trusted friend, and then Hillary Clinton could come out and knock it into the rafters.

We're talking a couple, 3 days here....

Barack can still talk to the press from Hawaii, his team can cover for him at events already scheduled.

Christ, except for his sister, this is the last of his immediate family?

I would think the campaign is probably being inundated with folks who want to step in to help fill in the gaps.

Heck, book Bruce Springstien and Bill Clinton, have Bill sit in on Sax, and have them do "Born to Run"...

That'll get you coverage while Palin bloviates about socialism!!!!

Re: Replace Obama with Hillary

That's what Biden's for.  He'll do just fine.

Exactly what kind of 'replace Obama' did you have in mind?

Re: Replace Obama with Hillary while he's in Hawai

Don't start this crap up please...there are just 14 days left...focus on whats important, saying a extra prayer for Obama and his family and working our hearts out while he is off the trail for a couple of days and for the remainder of this election.

Re: Replace Obama with Hillary while he's in Hawai

People want to live out their Hill-fantasies I guess.

Personally I agree with a poster above: Why should we put more onto her shoulders? It would be a bit of a nasty joke to play on HRC.

Re: Replace Obama with

where is Russ Feingold?

I haven't heard much from him.  I think he should get out there as well.

Al Gore would draw the crowds as well.

Twelve commentors, two Hill-haters

True, it's a very small N, but 16% is probably about accurate.

Re: Replace Obama with Hillary while he's in Hawai

Hillary's already out there.

Biden's stump speech has been smoking lately. He'll do fine.

at least put a muzzle on Biden

or make him give only prepared speeches EVERYWHERE even in closed fund-raisers. At his rate of making dumbfuck comments he will single-handedly lose us this election.

Re: at least put a muzzle on Biden

Hey Tarheel, why don't you do a diary on Biden?

Oh, you already have, multiple times?

Never mind...

Re: at least put a muzzle on Biden

you know the problem with people like you, you get your news from echo chamber. That is why we had the 2004 debacle because we refused to see what people are saying in the real world. I guess only people like you think the what Biden said was not harmful in the least, but then that's not new.

Echo Chamber?

Sheesh...

You're stuck on a one note repeat, Tarheel.

Checked the news lately?

Biden's gaffe faded like yesterdays rain here in Seattle, only to be replaced by a new cloudburst?

by WashStateBlue 2008-10-21 07:16AM | 0 recs
nah

Hillary has her schedule already and is also working very hard for 12-15 different downticket races which would help an Obama administration.

Re:

I feel sorry for Hillary if Obama gets elected.  He is going to punish Hillary and make her life a living hell.  She'll probably have to leave Washington.  The Obama's despise her..and will try to marginalize her in the senate.  She will certainly have no place in his cabinet or anywhere near obama.  Obama seems to hold grudges and to enjoy watching people suffer who aren't loyal to him.  It's gonna be bad for Hillary and her supporters if Obama wins. Obama's not done rubbing the Clintons' faces in the dirt and his victory yet.

No but...

We will take pleasure in rubbing YOUR nose in your puppy poo, if have the guts to show up on Nov 5th.

I'm sure there will be plenty of rending of flesh and whippings going at NoQuarters, we promise to keep your punishment to simple scoldings, shoving your nose in your poo, and some bad doggies!

See you then, KJ?

Now I'm worried.

You're suffering from anticipated miseries arising from your hallucinations about imagined retributions to HRC and her supporters?

I strongly suggest you stop worrying about Hillary and her supporters, and start worrying about yourself. Start by keeping a lookout for men in white coats coming for you. Remember, just because you aren't paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

by Sumo Vita 2008-10-21 10:34AM | 0 recs
And further

Any retribution that you claim Hillary is going to face will pale in comparison to your own, given that you've just revealed Obama's dark secret plans here in public - and in writing.

In fact, for all you know, KJ, half of the people you've spoken to over the past 6 months might be on his payroll, keeping tabs on you. Maybe MyDD is nothing more than a clever front to lure in fair and balanced individuals like yourself with the charade of hosting anti-Obama views during the primaries, only to document your obvious disloyalty to the cause and speed your transition to Gitmo come January.

I hope your registration at this site was appropriately aliased. Be very afraid, my friend.

Re: Obama owes Hillary bigtime

It would be rather difficult for Obama to treat Hillary badly in front of the public, or otherwise.  It would make him look like a loser and a user.  Not pretty.

by Scotch 2008-10-21 02:10PM | 0 recs
Even if this fantasy was true -

I'm sorry, but I think that it would take the Lord Almighty Itself personally flying the Millenium Falcon to escort Hillary off of the Hill if she didn't want to go.  And you think that Obama could even come close to what the repugs have been doing to her for the past 20 years, even if he was wired to think that way?

She is going to be a great ally for Obama to counter the wingnut perception that Reid/Pelosi are hosting gay communist beastiality orgies in the rotunda.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

1.  Obama don't play that way
2.  Hillary is tougher than you give her credit

Then Whose Going To Replace Hillary?

Michelle is a good substitute. She's with Barack a lot already, and if Hillary replaced him, then someone should replace Hillary for where she campaigns.

by Zzyzzy 2008-10-21 08:52AM | 0 recs
Barack is missing events

in Iowa and Wisconsin.  Those are states where he has a healthy lead and also states where he beat Hillary.  Hillary should do what she is doing - campaigning in OH and other close states where she beat Barack.
