All Lieberman, all the time

I have to admit I am a bit disappointed with what I have been reading on the blogs of late.   It is great that Ned Lamont won, the primary.  Now is certainly the time to rally to his cause.  But there are also dozens of other important races taking place around the country that involve Democrats and our chance to recapture at least one chamber of Congress in November.

It seems like almost every other post (not just here, but on several other blogs) is focused on Joe Lieberman.  I would think at this point his name would be the one least uttered.   He lost.  He is no longer a Democrat.  He is not deserving of this attention.  Attention that could be focused on introducing a lot of great Democratic candidates to the readers here, or supporting their causes.

There are also a number of primary races with ReformDems vs. MachineDems which need immediate attention and aren't getting it from the blogoshere. Lieberman seems to have become a personal obsession rather that just one of many bad Democrats needing to be replaced.

Good Point!

But why are you posting it here?

Head to http://www.joe2006.com/ , hit the "get involved" link, and complain to the cause of wasted effort and resources.

Or do you always blame the victim?

Point taken, but...

Vulnerable GOP incumbents like Deborah Pryce (OH-15) and Joe Knollenberg (MI-09) and J.D. Hayworth (AZ-05) laugh their asses off when we in the progressive netroots attack each other over Joe Lieberman.

CT is not going to elect a GOP Senator this go round.

Question is, are the Democrats going to take back the House?

And what have we done lately to help Mary Jo Kilroy, Nancy Skinner, and Harry Mitchell?

Re: Point taken, but...

I'm glad someone gets it.  Your raising the names of Pryce, Knollenberg, and Hayworth are exactly what I am taking about.

Posters like the one that you reply to are starting to remind me of the whacko right, with the "with us or against" attitude.

Re: Point taken, but...

Actually, by electing Joe they effeively would be electinga  Republican, or haven't you been follwoing his "campaign" so far?

What we can do to help those you mention is get the DC establishment to categorically boot Holy joe, so he's a non-entity and can be ignored.

Again, you're complaining at the wrong location. Take it to Holy Joe's website, please.

Grow up

Your reply is baseless.

Re: Grow up

Uh...okay. Lets see.

Self-centered idiot loses primary.

Said idiot huff, puff and whines his way to an indy run.

Said whiny indy run wastes resources,.

Ergo, it's the fault of the eprson who won the primary fair and square.

Uh...riiiight. Okay then. If I'm supposed to "grow up", you might want to grow a brain to figure out the logic error here.

Re: All Lieberman, all the time

Blaming the poster isn't right. The blogoshere should be able to concentrate on more than just the "Beat Lieberman" and "Elect Democrats regardless of their records" themes.

Re: All Lieberman, all the time

Sounds like the lberal blogosphere is acting too much like the mainstream re the CT Democratic Senate primary. Remember how Hillary's Sneate race became the only only one that mattered in 2000? I live in Southwestern Indiana and I still want to know where in my neck of the woods Ahnold was running in 2003.

Re: southwestern Indiana...

Looks like Ellsworth is ahead of Hostettler...

of course, I guess there's a chance that you aren't quite THAT west...but that's good news nonetheless.

Re: southwestern Indiana...

oh...I didn't note the date on that poll...it's a bit old. Hopefully he's still doing that well if not better?

Re: All Lieberman, all the time

My mom always said: "If you want something done, you'd better do it yourself."

So, if you want to see more about other candidates...why not post it yourself?

I don't intend for this to sound mean or anything, I just find it frustrating when people complain that something isn't being done...and then they don't make an attempt to do it themselves. It seems like the intent was solely to complain rather than to actually make a change.

Re: All Lieberman, all the time

If you let up on the Lieberman thing, he could win the race nullifying most of the gains.

People like Hillary will revert back to their old form if Lieberman wins.
