Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

In-F-ing-Credible

Enough is enough. Stop the insanity now folks. Hillary is now friendlier with Rove and Fox News than with fellow Democrats.

On Monday, she quoted Rove's Electoral Map as her strength against Obama. Note that Rove is a McCain adviser. Is everyone ok with this?

Update [2008-5-22 0:55:6 by comingawakening]: More Clinton on Rove!! Ah, isn't Rove a great guy? We should trust him!!!

Re: pot. kettle.

It's not about going on Fox News. It's about giving them so much credit after the past 8 years of crap and vile they've called news. Do you remember all 1000's of hours they spent on making Clinton look like a mad woman?

Isn't there something wrong about this? You don't see it?

When Obama went on, he went on once and that's it. After 700+ days of ignoring them.

It is not the same. I don't mind Clinton being interviewed by Fox. It is the credit and praise that bugs me.

I think all of your comments are weak and lies. Look in the mirror and shame on you!

Re: Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

dumb. pathetic.

Really,

honestly

why would you think the Clinton campaign should be friendly to openly hostile and vile networks like MSNBC. They dont deserve her repsect yet she gives it to them, and you're complaining that she is more friendly to a news station that doesn't tell her she's pimping out her daughter?

Im confused.and your inflammatory.

by alyssa chaos 2008-05-21 07:29PM | 0 recs
They sure as hell shouldn't be

friendly to a network that condones and pushes for military action in Iraq, Iran and elsewhere. Fox News, more so than the other networks, bears responsibility for the tragic loss of life resulting from current conflicts.

by lizardbox 2008-05-21 08:04PM | 0 recs
Re: They sure as hell shouldn't be

yes lets blame everything bad on FOX news. otherwise we might actually have to blame the real people in charge.

get off your high horse, why aren't you criticising Obama for ending the 'FOX black out' and going on there to give an interview with the evil bastards?

how convenient.

Re: They sure as hell shouldn't be

You compound my opinion. How did you deduce that I'm blaming everything bad on Fox news? But let's go along with your argument, you don't think that major news outlets are somewhat "in charge"?

You think that when middle class Republicans making less than $40K and $50K a year think that Democrats want to raise their taxes that just happens on its own?

You confuse an appearance on Fox with going on Fox and saying "I know what it feels like to be a Republican".

by lizardbox 2008-05-21 09:19PM | 0 recs
Re: They sure as hell shouldn't be

Yes FOX is responsible for hugely gross things, news networks should not spew opinion they should report facts without the injection of partisan opinion.

What I mean to say is that Barack brought credibility to FOX news by going against the democratic boycott, and pandering to reagan democrats.

For you to argue that it isn't pandering, well I respectively disagree if thats the case. He was pandering in the midst of his trouble with the 'blue collar white' demographic and your refusal to see this shows that many think Barack can do no wrong.

I find no wrong with trying to reach out to republicans, but to use FOX news, the network that constantly trashes democrats including Obama and his wife (!) is truly a slap in the face to those who have fallen victim to their slander.

I have a problem with those like the diarist who are riddled with this double standard, that is is alright for Barack to go on FOX news against all democratic wishes, yet we should conclude that Hillary is an evil republican for doing the same...all the while just using Olbermann talking points and even inferring that she was channeling her 'rove'.

by alyssa chaos 2008-05-21 09:36PM | 0 recs
Okay

I will concede the point. I didn't want him to go on Fox. I didn't like it one bit. I expected him to run a very good campaign, but not a perfect one. If it were up to me, Kucinich would be our president. Regardless, Obama overall is an excellent candidate and he has my support 100% though I don't agree with him 100% of the time.

Re: Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

I am more than okay with this. I actually do realize all that garbage about media bias. It is true and it exists. I thought it never existed and it was made up by the GOP to discredit people like Matthews and Russert. But, after this primary fight, they are right and you are wrong. FOX all the way, because they are fair and balanced whereas MSNBC is the slave for Obama and CNN is just drooling over "undeclared" SD Brazile and "neutral" people like Jeff Toobin and Roland Martin.

by American1989 2008-05-21 07:48PM | 0 recs
"FOX all the way"? Is that snark?

by sricki 2008-05-21 07:53PM | 0 recs
Give me a break!

Faux news is simply trying to play sides in this primary fight to try and help DIVIDE and Conquer! YOU and the diarist are doing the same thing, just on different sides!

MSNBC and some of the other have become blathering idiots for Obama. Why.. who the fuck knows. I think it has to do with PANDERING to the "Money Demographic".

Faux News is doing it simply to Fuck up the Democratic party, drive a wedge between Democrats all to help the REPUBLICANS!

Don't you get it? This is KKKarl Rove all the way. Always use wedge issues to divide the electorate! Why do you think we hear about God, Guns and Gays all the fucking time!?

Re: Give me a break!

Well, then ask HRC why she is referencing Rove at a speech in Kentucky like he is trustworthy and someone dependable? You are supporting my point. Why give praise to the very same network that has destroyed this country.

I bet you enjoyed MSNBC before they "picked" Obama. Have you asked yourself why all of a sudden "they are wrong" but you are right? I give them credit for holding Clinton accountable.

- She said Obama was more prepared to be President than Obama. You don't do that in the primaries.

- She said that Obama's followers are all young idealistic kids. Wrong. I am almost 40 and everyone else I know is older than me. Oh yeah, most of them are woman here in VA.

- She said that MI and FL don't count but now she needs them so they must count.

- Bosnia????

Come on. At least tell me I am right to some extent.

by comingawakening 2008-05-21 08:36PM | 0 recs
Re: Give me a break!

You are blind. Here is my first hint to you. Should the MEDIA.. the NEWS.. be biased towards ANY candidate?

Yes they should call out treason and crimes such as Olbermann does with gdub.

No they should NOT pick a candidate. That is NOT their Job! That is what faux news does and MSNBC should NOT become the left version of them!

Bring back Walter Cronkite... PLEASE!

by kevin22262 2008-05-21 08:43PM | 0 recs
Interesting....

So is it Michelle Obama that is more prepared than Barack Obama or the other way around?

By the way... I know what you are referring to and she never said it the way you are inferring that she did.

Show me the quote IN CONTEXT where she said this: "She said that Obama's followers are all young idealistic kids.".

The MI and FL issue is a big fucking MESS. I have much to say about that but I will not say it now.

Bosnia... so what.

I like Olbermann but when he started to attack Hillary and do a "special comment" about the stupid Ferraro crap, he lost me.

Re: Interesting....

by kevin22262 2008-05-21 09:01PM | 0 recs
Re: Interesting....

Because in Clinton world she cares for all votes except for those in Caucus states or red states...those Democrats don't really count. She should rebut because democrats are democrats and every voter that comes on board needs to support Obama or Clinton.

You've never heard Obama downplay any of the Clinton supporters. Even in WV and parts of PA where I was personally attacked in a racial way (I am not black) but they called me names for supporting Obama. Only a few people did it but it feels bad when it happens.

So Clinton should not discount anyone. Democrats don't do that.

Yes, they are fair and balanced when they spend 60% of their time talking about Rev Wright, William Ayers, and saying that Michele Obama hates America.

You do know that the Obama's are Democrats? Right?

Or are they being fair and balanced to Clinton because she is losing and they want the race to go all the way to Denver so McCain can win?

Re: Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

Yes Hillary the true Democrat that grew up as a Republican and was President of the College/Young Democrats while in school. The same Hillary that gives Karl Rove credit and has Terry Mac tell Fox they are fair and balanced. The same Hillary that had Geraldine Ferraro live on Fox News while making comments that being black made things easy for Obama. Just look at the numbers in WV and KY - yeah, it's very easy being black in America. The same Fox where Lanny Davis told the world that his Democrat nominee, Obama, was too liberal and that they were truly "Fair and Balanced."

Yes - a true Democrat.

F-ing liar, that's what she is. She will never be anything in the Democratic party. I guarantee you that. Get ready for the death of a legacy. Finally. She did it to herself.

No thank Obama for going on there and giving them an interview and effectively ending the boycott against them.

He was pandering to FOX supporters, those so-called Reagan DEMOCRATS! He was effectively going on FOX for his own political gain against the boycott that democrats had effectively sought and gained. He gave them credibility, but you choose to ignore this.

Re: Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

You can say what you want but I didn't say that they shouldn't go on Fox. It is their praise of Fox that bugs me. Did you even watch the videos?

I think all candidates should talk to all media.

By the way, HRC spoke to Orally. Obama spoke to someone trying to be a real journalist.

Also, how come they have a clock for Obama? You think that was fair? You think that was fair and balanced?

by comingawakening 2008-05-21 09:48PM | 0 recs
Re: Clinton + Fox News + Rove = Dream Team

By no means is FOX 'fair and balanced', I agree with you from this stand point.

HRC only spoke to Billy after Obama broke the BOYCOTT. Would have hoped she wouldn't have stooped to Baracks level and appear on the network.

That boycott was in place because of the crap they have said about some of the most loyal democrats. FOX has done nothing but slandered democrats, including Obama and his wife.

No i dont think the candidates should speak to all media because that includes slanderous, evil republican media outlets that get their ratings by trashing democratic values.

My view on Obama's appearance on FOX is that is was pandering to a certain illusive demographics...i think it was wrong.

SO HRC is a evil rebulican because Terry Mac, praises them on air, uhh ?

Whatever sweetie. Again, your are playing with facts to suit your need. Obama breaks the Fox News moratorium and Hillary feels compelled to do it too? Who pandered then? Who's the leader then? HRC followed Obama's lead? That's great leadership. Just like when she fought for MI and FL in December and January. Oh wait, she didn't care then. Now she is the world's greatest and most powerful supporter of counting FL and MI votes.

Yes - great leadership by someone who felt compelled to follow Obama on Fix News.

She's a liar - live with it.

She's a panderer elitist.

Asking for money when she has over $100M in the bank.
