OH-18: Rothenberg calls Ney most vulnerable incumbents, make a pick for Democratic Primary

In today's edition of "Roll Call", Stuart Rothenberg listed OH-18 Congressman Bob Ney as the most vulnerable incumbent on his top 10 list.

Rothenberg says, and this is a direct quote from Rothenberg, "I'll be surprised if Ney hasn't been indicted by the time Election Day rolls around, and if he has any chance of surviving it's only because the Democrats may nominate Chillicothe Mayor Joe Sulzer, who is a walking political time bomb with his own political and personal baggage." Rothenberg continues to say, "Any nomral Democrat (attotney Zack Space might meet that test) should beat Ney."

Is Rahm Planning a Hackett Job on Space?

At this point it's almost a badge of courage for Democratic challengers to NOT be endorsed by Emanuel's DCCC. He has been systematically hunting for grassroots and progressive and anti-war challnegers and forcing them out of races against vulnerable Republican incumbents so he can pave the way for clue-less, easily-manipulated shill candidates. He and other Inside the Beltway members of the Democratic Power elite are wrecking democracy and wrecking the Democratic Party. Rahm Emanuel is the Democrats' equivalent of Tom DeLay. He should be fired asap-- before it's too late.

Enough already.  I am happy for Zack that he will get this inside the beltway story.  I think this will help him raise more money and be more competitive in the primary. But please tell us your relationship to Space and please don't just mindlessly bash DCCC or the mayor.

I think D-trip or Pelosi supported the Mayor because he seemed to have a built in base of support. I would be curious what this ticking time bomb is. An affair? His own corruption? Racist statements? What? Or is this just a slur.

before this piece, i had heard of sultzer as the much stronger candidate. All to refute this was hearsay from many bloggers who were obviously biased. However, now hearing it from such a reputable source, I now prefer SPace in this race, as i care about winning above all else. I dont care as much that Space is more liberal than Sultzer

I dunno, what about Jennifer Stewart?  She just threw her hat in the ring, too.  She's on the Ohio Board of Education.  She looks like a good candidate.
