VIDEO: Faithful Mormon testifies against Prop 8 in church

A courageous Mormon begins testifying earnestly (and exceedingly calmly) against Prop 8 in church ... and the LDS bishop turns off the microphone!

If only more of the faithful could be so brave ...

The video speaks for itself:

More Mormons (and more LDS Fast and Testimony meetings) like this one, please.

Bravo, sir!

Any chance a Maine Catholic or two might find the gumption to take a similar stand in the coming weeks?

It's time to stand up and face down these swiftboating political false prophets.

Re: Perhaps

the Bishop had sincere concerns that his 12 year old wife might be confused if he didn't put the cabosh on that challenge to his authority. One definitely doesn't want unwelcome questions to pop up at the wrong time and spoil the mood.

I was surprised by the response, actually ...

Once the Bishop realized that Todd was not planning to indoctrinate the congregants by reading the text of Obama's back-to-school speech, he should've been relieved and sat back and listened to whatever it was Todd had to say.

Obama's school speech is not effective...

On adults...

It would have to be dumbed down to hypno-indocrinate your average adult conservative, whos brain has been turned to cream of wheat by years of right wing talking points.

I really am hoping

When Jesus comes back, he is a gay hispanic man....

Anything to watch the hierarcy of the Mormon and Catholic churches pee their collective panties.

Re: And

he comes by sneaking across the border, leading sick non-citizens straight to the nearest Catholic hospital - half with AIDS and half with swine flu, and half carrying anacephalic fetuses in the third trimester.
