while i commend you for speaking your mind - are you suggesting that because krugman seemingly thinks clinton is a better candidate that the HRC will offer him a job? if that's the case - then could you outline what positions BO will offer:
i am not encouraging anything of the sort.... let me say first - i am canadian and cannot vote - but my preference of candidate is HRC.
what i am suggesting in this diary is that the media seems to be selective in their reporting - very irresponsible.
just yesterday on meet the press - peggy noonan and on john meacham both unequivocally claimed that HRC supporters would go to BO. there was no deabate, no questioning - it was stated as fact.... when in reality, the evidence does not support those claims.
i applaud your support if HRC is the candidate and wished that many would follow your example not matter who wins - however since this seemingly has become a campaign of spin - from all sides - its important to deal with fact - not a specific campaigns talking points which in this case is BO's.
actually as a canadian i think you are misinformed - CTV - the network that reported the story in the first place stands behind the original story. and cited and showed a memo put out by the canadian govt. that outlined the meeting.
CBC ran another story that outlined the issue and that the ambassador (of our current conservative govt) stated he heard that the clinton camp also did it (even though he previously denied that the BO campaign meeting in chicago ever took place)
however there is no proof that HRC camp met - no memo, just conjecture from BO supporters.
what i mean is.... clearly HRC is not currently winning in either the pledged or popular vote.... however - "math" - superD's and the calls for this to be over are ridiculous b/c anything can happen now and in the next contests. and it is not IMPOSSIBLE.
its like the leader in the indy 500 who is leading at lap 460 by 20 laps to claim victory and ask the cars behind to stop the race because they won.
again - the concept of the 'math' to me is stupid as it is not based on actual reality - just postulating, analyzing for political benefit. if in fact as you kindly point out - HRC gains 48 supers and wins PA by the margins in todays polls - BO's lead is all but eliminated. basically my point is that let's let this play out and stop calling for each side to pull out before the race is over.
while i welcome and want to debate this issue - i happen to have other obligations in my life aside from replying to your message.
i posted this diary to outline that the concept of 'math' is nonsense. in the scenario that i outlined - i am merely pointing out that HRC gains. I do not believe that supers should vote anyway other than they way they CHOOSE to. that is precisely what they were designed to do.
but these calls to get HRC out of the race are stupid - she is certainly not leading - but it is not IMPOSSIBLE.
