New Hampshire race appears to continue to tighten

Don't  know if this has been diaried already, but here's the numbers for a new NH poll:

Clinton 37
Obama   23
Edwards 18

Take away: The race in NH is becoming tighter.

Clinton is still favored, but a bounce for either Obama or Edwards w/ these numbers given history means they can take teh state too.

I think its great that we all want to know who will win this. But honestly, the polls are showing either a tightening race and some of them contradict each other.

It's going to get interesting in the next few weeks.

Re: New Hampshire race

We about to have so many polls that the only way to do real analysis is to look at averages over a particular period. Since October Clinton is down 7.5, Obama is up 2.25 and Edwards is up 4.

Hillary's average lead is down to 10 over Obama and down to about 17 over Edwards.

candidate clinton obama Edwards Richardson
Nov 29 - Dec 5 33.57142857 24 16.42857143 9.142857143
Nov 1 - Nov 25 36.33333333 22.33333333 13.5 8.666666667
October 41 21.75 12.5 6.5

Re: New Hampshire race

Yeah, i agree about the averaging- but I think the more interesting part is how much of the actual trends refute the claims being made not just by the MSM but the front pagers on this very blog. I don't personally get it.

Re: New Hampshire race

Edwards steady rise in NH is music to my ears. If he does pull out Iowa, now he is well within striking distance of Hillary in NH. I guess the same thing can be said for Obama, so his supporters get some good news as well.

Re: New Hampshire race

I tried to be even handed. Both now legitimately can say they have shots. What continues to bother me about the front page of this blog however is how they reframe everything as Clinton v. Obama, and claim that it's Edwards strategy that's preventing him from rising. Yet his numbers are indeed rising.

Re: New Hampshire race

Well, he is rising, so maybe this is working for him in spite of the lack of media focus.

Re: New Hampshire race

It was a very good diary. That is the way it has been going everywhere. It will be an interesting rest of the race!!
