For every ounce of convenience, computer voting guarantees a ton of insecurity. I said that online before the 2004 elections. Over and over on the 'net. I almost could say I started the no-computer voting movement. (I also probably invented the term "spoiler effect.")
I also have a "spoiler free" election method that's getting a fair amount of play on MY LEFT WING
You are going to wreck my frayed nerves, Sean. I sit here re-loading Raw Story to see what new calamity comes down the pipe. Halloween was nothing; I laugh horror movies now. When I stop posting, either my computer is hosed, or the medics have taken me. Why not just say a little prayer for me?
All they have is oil. And they have a fairly large nation. They are no different from any other fairly large nation. Any other nation could equally become the target for all the silly accusations about Iran. And I mean ANY! Don't we have any real problems?
I have my own theoretical work regarding human language. The local professors goaded me into e-mailing him about looking into some of it. He sent me back a ludicrously dismissive comment.
His condemnations of U.S. foreign policy are legendary. But he just keeps repeating his "organize, organize" mantra over and over. He never advocates any specific agenda. I don't listen to him anymore.
The only way to stop the war is to just stop it. Just de-fund it. Giving Bush suggestions does not seem like a productive use of anyone's time. 2/3rds of the American people agree with the U.K. that we have lost the Oil Wars. People who really want to continue down this loosing path should set up a corporation to enable themselves to DONATE to the great Oil War cause. They should also enlist to go over there and fight the wars they support. Maybe Chelsea Clinton should lead the troops there.
I will not try to contribute one red cent more to the $1.2+ TRILLION this thing is going to cost, and I will not follow Chelsea into battle. I will advocate windmills, wave harvesters, and solar panels. But feel free to contribute to the wars, and go over there and fight them. After all, it's a free country.
She has to do a little MORE than cast some token vote that gets "covered" by some other Senators on the blood-for-oil team. I need to see her FILIBUSTER some really huge war appropriation, regardless of whatever window dressing comes attached to it. NOTHING LESS! And It has to be a three digit -- $100+ BILLION appropriation. I am getting more, not less, pissed. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS BULLSHIT! NO MORE BLOOD_FOR_OIL_MONEY -- PERIOD.
The Brits have cut their losses. And MI6 must know something. I have lost all patience with this procedural merry-go round!
What I need now is one vote from Hillary denying $30 Billion or more bucks of war funding to BushCo. That is it. Just one teensy weensy $30 Billion buck vote, and I will stop hating Hillary. Is that too much to ask?
